In the end, the people pay the money, and the lawyers profit. Any settlement from the gov't or banks will be paid by the taxpayers or the clients of the bank.

Why anyone thinks that this is anything other than a money-making plan by the lawyers is beyond me. Let's assume there's a settlement - where does the money come from, and where does it go?

The settlement will be a coupon, voucher or discount for the people the lawyers are representing and of course full legal fees paid in cash.

We should talk about logic sometime TP.
I agree, you could learn a lot about logic from Ten.

Only if I have the same magic potion you swallowed today.
As apposed to the one you inhaled.

In the USA, the Attorney General has no authority to "quash" lawsuits. Too bad some of you are not at all aware of the US legal system, thinking it is identical to Canada's. It is NOT, and never has been.

Anyone that gets ripped by wall street is a willing participant in their own loss.

The law suit is not over an individual losing money on a bad investment. It is a case over conspiracy to defraud every US taxpayer of over $1.5 trillion through the bail-out program.

All the people that benefited from the bailouts are taxpayers too. Kind of hard to claim they were defrauded.

Oh, whatever....you know what I meant. A lot of the individuals that benefited have huge holdings offshore and are the biggest tax avoiders.
