The prophecies of a dead blind woman from Bulgaria have many believing she could predict the future – and her visions for 2022 are no different.

Baba Vanga, known as the Nostradamus of the Balkans, started seeing the future after she mysteriously lost her eyesight during a storm when she was just 12 years old.

She died in 1996 at the age of 85, but made big claims while she was alive.

Not all of them were true but many were including the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Brexit and the rise of Islamic State.

For 2021, she reportedly saw a cure for cancer, an assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin and a “dragon seizing humanity,” which some believe is a reference to the rising power of China.

The clairvoyant also predicted what could unfold in 2022. Here are the six major events of concern, according to the Mirror:

An increase in catastrophes

Baba had predicted that Australia and several Asian countries will be hit by “intense bouts of floods,” resulting in more earthquakes and tsunamis.

Another lethal virus

It’s the last thing anyone wants to hear, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, but Baba believed another pandemic, discovered in Siberia, will emerge, caused by a frozen virus that will be released due to climate change.

Water shortages

Also, the struggle to access drinking water will become real in some cities, as countries are forced to find alternatives.

Aliens arrive on Earth

According to Vanga, an asteroid known as “Oumuamua” will be sent by aliens to explore whether there is life on Earth. But they aren’t the nice kind and could take prisoners when they land.

Locusts attack India

Baba not only predicted temperatures reaching 50C in India but also crop-attacking locusts will follow, leading to great famine.

Virtual reality takeover

In what might be her most eerie prediction, Baba envisioned that in 2022, more than any other time, people would spend more time in front of screens. Due to our increasing addiction to technology, people will begin to confuse fantasy and reality. Hmm, the metaverse seems a lot less appealing.

Canada is well into the ESG (Agenda 2030) - as witnessed by The Rebel. Businesses need to really be careful because banking is now involved politically in Canada and the result is that if you have a differing opinion, you may well lose any banking privileges. It doesn't matter whether you agree with The Rebel or not, this is totally and should be illegal!!

I have 2 years of food storage, enough ammo for WWII and medical, TP and meds. Sure I'm a bit of a Prepper right now.
About 25 years back, I had a neighbor who was a prepper. He liked to bore me talking about his preparations. He once asked what I was doing to prepare for disaster and I said "I have guns." He said "That's a good start, but you need blah blah blah!" I asked "Do you have blah blah blah?" and he said he did. I smiled and said "Good. About three minutes after the balloon goes up, I'll have all those things."

A look at what Nostradamus saw for 2022

It has been a year of historic floods and wildfires in British Columbia, severe drought in the Prairies, and the wild scourge of inflation across the country.

And as this grim year comes to a close, the news is getting even grimmer, according to the New York Post, which has taken stock of the prophecies of long-dead Nostradamus.

The French plague doctor, astrologer and seer published his famed and widely-quoted book “Les Prophéties” in 1555.

The book – by a man referred to as the Prophet of Doom – is chock-full of poetic predictions and foretells of coming wars, natural disasters, assassinations, nuclear attacks and revolutions.

His prose is heavy with words like pestilence, famine, blood, sorrow and fire.

But Nostradamus’ predictions are intentionally vague and open to interpretation.

Here is a look at what the Post says he has apparently forecast for 2022.

Inflation, starvation and cannibalism:

Nostradamus predicted inflation and starvation will befall us in 2022, writing, “So high the price of wheat/That man is stirred/His fellow man to eat in his despair.”

With Canadian inflation at historic highs, the price part of that warning has so far been proven true.

Let’s hope his accuracy is off for the cannibalism prediction.

Artificial Intelligence:

Nostradamus wrote, “The Moon in the full of night over the high mountain/The new sage with a lone brain sees it/By his disciples invited to be immortal/Eyes to the south. Hands in bosoms, bodies in the fire.”

That passage appears to reference the escalation of – and reliance on – artificial intelligence.

Perhaps we should ask Alexa or Google about that one?

Drought:

Based on this cheery passage from Nostradamus, “For forty years the rainbow will not be seen/For 40 years it will be seen every day/The dry earth will grow more parched/And there will be great floods when it is seen,” we could surmise that droughts and floods of punishing proportions are coming.

But judging by this summer’s historic rains and parched conditions, they are already upon us.

Crypto:

The French writer also gave an apparent nod to the rise of cryptocurrency.

“The copies of gold and silver inflated/Which after the theft were thrown into the lake/At the discovery that all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt/All scripts and bonds will be wiped out,” he wrote.

His predictions are not always on the money.

Gold – as of Thursday – was having its biggest annual decline since 2015.

But a wave of Silicon Valley engineers and executives are leaving high-level positions to join crypto startups.

I predict in 2022 I will finally fully retire, will plant my garden, watch it grow. I will also spend too much time on the computer, since the crappy government doesn't want me to leave the house.

I figured this meme kind of says it all as we close out 2021 having no idea what is in store for 2022.
