The Saskatchewan Roughriders just beat the Stampeders. Final score: 29 - 24 and frankly I am speechless.

I had zero confidence. It's nice being wrong for once.
I didn't have clue what would unfold yesterday, pete. The Rider's have been the Jekyll and Hyde of the CFL leaving fans and sportscasters alike in a quandary as to which team would show up on the field. Would it be the high-powered defence with STs contributing or the lack-luster offense that can't even get close enough for FG?

Which, after yesterday's amazing effort by our offense, leaves me wondering where were these guys in the last several games? How did they manage to score against the best team in the CFL when our defense was good but hardly great? How did they beat the Stumps defense? So many questions but at least they come in the wake of a much needed win leaving our Riders one point behind Calgary in the standing and solidly in second place.

The easiest way to sum it up; "Collaros threw the ball more than 15 yds to whomever was open not who he was told to throw to.

On the Ti-Cats front, pete - I just heard that Brandon Banks will be out for the remainder of the season due to a broken clavicle he suffered in their game against Ottawa. This is a big loss to the Cats. This is like our Riders losing Williams-Lambert and we all saw - well those of us lucky enough to watch the game yesterday - how valuable WL is to our team. Sad to hear - Brandon was having such a great year.

Or.............Zach was able to overcome McAdoo's mind control techniques, think on his feet, make good decisions and thus had his best game of the season. ;-)

That is a huge loss for the Cats. I figured it was his clavicle by the way and where he was holding it. I've broken the same one twice. They still have a good shot at taking the East. The Rod Blacks aren't exactly a stable team.

The next month is going to be interesting football.

Go Hoovers!
Great game by the Hoovers last night, pete handing the Stumps their 5th loss of the season is no small accomplishment. I thought that Dickenson would have his crew back on track after losing to our Riders but Mike O'Shea obviously had other ideas. Got such a kick out watching Boo complain to the refs about that last non-TD when the Bombers prevented the ball from going over the goal-line.

The win also eliminated the Eskimos from the play-offs.

Hope to see Mosaic packed wall-to-wall for our game against BC later today.

Forgot to mention that Weston went over the 1000-yard reception mark last night - great to see him still competing so well.............while I still wonder why he wasn't able to do that with our team.

Bel13ve - 0

I am as pissed off as Chris is that he had to use our only challenge on what was obviously a hit to Zach's head by Willis. Glad to see the boys have come to play. D's doing a great job. STs the same and Zach seems to be okay after the hit. GO RIDERS!

Gotta clean up those stupid penalties though - especially this last one that extended the Lions' drive when they should have been punting.
