End of opening Q has the Lions leading the Esks 14 -12. BC's first TD came with 95-yard punt return by Rainey - their second resulted from an Eskimo receiver's fumble deep in Edmonton territory. Until those two quick majors, the Esk appeared to be in some control mainly due the Lions' having taken over 100 yards of penalties.

7:39 in the 2nd Esks get back on the board with a nice little pass from Reilly to Mitchell in the end zone........convert is good and the Esks go ahead 19 -14.

Rainey barrels his way through almost every Esk defender for a 23 yard gain.

BC settles for 3 to come within two points of the Esks

1:56 left in the first half - Lulay coughs up the ball and the Esks recover around midfield

Reilly finds Mitchell around the 20 and the Esk receiver gets another 10 on the ground to put Edmonton first and goal............Esks will also have to settle for a FG after two failed attempts at the end zone. They have a 5 point lead going into the half.

All the penalties in the first half have gone against the Lions............ALL of them, fps.

9:03 in the 3rd - Lulay to Posey TD..............convert adds another point and the Lions regain the lead. There's a lot of good football being played in Vancouver tonight and the Lions are showing they deserve a spot in the play-offs. Travis is loose but focused and his arm is as good as it ever was.

Whoa.................75 yard pass and run play from Lulay to Posey....................TD. The Lions are roaring tonight.

Yep............these guys are for real........the defense has all but shut down Reilly's offense.

Double whoa............pin point accuracy on the pass from Travis - a couple of steps later and once again Posey crosses the goal line for the Lions - with under :50 in the 3rd, they take 16 point lead over the Esks.

Eskimos just complete their first 1rst D of the second half which pretty well sums up what they've been up to or not

Ah...........the Esks are falling apart..........they just took a huge PI penalty that will put the Lions at the Esks 42..........well within FG range at least

Lions tack another 10 yards onto their penalty total that takes them out of FG range on 2nd and 20.........they come up short and the punt team will come on. All the Lions have to do now is make sure the Esks don't get into the end zone more than once - if that. Add another point to the Lions total as the Esks concede a single off a punt to the end zone.

6:23 left in the final Q.............Reilly fumbles the ball.............Lions recover.

5:11 and the Esks get a pick 6 off Lulay..........Grimes the beneficiary of Travis' errant pass........39 - 29 Lions with 4:58 to go in the game

3-minute warning finds the Lions ahead by 10. Esks have the ball ............Lions called for PI.......Esks have the ball at the BC 45..............for some reason yet to be fully explained, the Esks have decided to go for a FG on 1rst and 10. Whyte's kick is good. I honestly don't ever remember seeing a coach make such a strange call in any game at any time.

BC ahead by a converted TD with just over a minute left in the final Q.

Well the Esks just blew any chance of tieing the game when they were called for holding penalty giving BC a first down with less than :44 to go
I'm giving this one to the Lions who have proved to me that they deserve to be in the play-offs. Buona's sending the FG team out - Long's good from the 39 and the Lions put another 3 on the board. This win ties them with the Bombers in the standings at third place. Edmonton now sits in the cellar.
