Lord tunderin' jaysus........................WE WON! Our second half rocked. Brandon was allowed to stay in the game and he showed his stuff. Marcus and Tristan both had PRs for TDs. It was glorious.

Final: 31 - 20

Thank you Riders

So the Coach stopped "coaching" and victory ensued?

Watching the Lions vs the Redblacks. Over midway through the 1rst Q and the RBs just got on the board with a FG - the Lions have yet to score. Waiting for something exciting to happen. It has been a bit of a comedy of errors with one good play followed by a real blooper - both QBs have had trouble holding onto the ball.

Currently, the RBs are once again on the move whilst the Lions continue to take really stupid penalties. Willis just got the team dinged for 10 when he decided to walk through the Ottawa sideline instead of going directly to his own. (Personally, I don't see why it's a big deal but it sure was to Campbell who was quite irate about it.) The RBs just got another 3 on the board to put them up 6 zip.

:17 left in the 2nd Q and the RBs are desperately trying to put some points on the board before the half.........but after that drop by Ellingson, they will have to depend on the leg of Lewis Ward for 3.......and he nails the FG putting the RBs 5 points behind the Lions who have managed turn the tide on the RBs. Mind you, some really stupid penalties by Ottawa most certainly didn't help the team whilst the Lions have cleaned up their act.

14 - 9 for the Lions at the half.

Rick Campbell is definitely in the running for best thrown Challenge Flag. After a CTK call went against the RBs, video review showed that such was not the case as the kicker tripped over his own feet and was never so much as touched by the Ottawa defender. Fans were screaming for blood, just over 2 minutes to go before the half and Rick answered the fan's prayers when he drew back and with much fanfare yanked the flag from his pocket, heaved it on the field and finished off with a flourish. It was pretty cool and the fans loved it. Rick won the challenge.

Can someone please ask Wally to stop chewing the corner of his mouth.

 I often wonder how it is that Wally still has any lips left at all considering the fact that he chews them religiously through-out every single game.

The RBs crept 3 points closer once again courtesy of a Lewis 48-yarder - they trail by 2.

And the Lions responded with another TD courtesy of Burnam and Arcenaux and accurate passes from Travis. They go for two and once again Brian comes up with the catch. Lions lead 22 - 12.

With 5:30 showing on the clock in the 3rd Q, Trevor Harris connects with Brad Sinopoli in the end zone for the RB's first TD of the game. With the convert, they trail the Lions by 3. It was the Sinopoli drive - 5 catches for 69 yards and the TD. Rock on Brad.

Big TO for the RBs as they recover a Lions fumble early in the 4th.

But it comes to naught as they go 2 and 0 and are forced to punt.

Once again the RBs benefit by being on the receiving end of a TO as they recover the ball when it was fumbled by the kicker. And once again they can't find the end zone and will have to rely on Lewis who goes 5 for 5 on the night and we all all square at 22 apiece with 10:48 showing on the clock.

1:59 left in the game. RBs have the ball and need a FG to tie the game or a TD to win.

The fans in the stands are losing their minds as the RBs just scored what could be the winning TD with :45 seconds on the clock. 29 - 25 RBs.

The Lions need a TD to win.

:30 to go. Lions are 3 and 10 and the receiver drops the pass. The RBs are the victors. Yeah!!!!!!

Just got back from work to find the Bombers are have their way with the Argos so far. We're in the 3rd Q and Winnipeg has a rather comfortable 23 point lead with just over 4 left in this Q. I gather Matt has been having himself a pretty darn good day. Go Bombers.

Franklin, on the other hand, isn't.

Oh and that won't help a bit, Franklin just got sacked for the Bombers second TO of the day.

Whoa ........ no sooner did that happen then the Argo defenders stripped the Winnipeg receiver of the ball, Jermaine recovered it and ran all the way back for a TD - now that was exciting. Gabriel with an 87 yard return. After a roughing the passer call on Winnipeg with the ball on the 4-yard line, Franklin keeps and goes over for the convert. Argos are creeping up.....35 - 20 now a much better looking score for TO.

The Bombers are now shooting themselves in the foot with numerous really stupid penalties.

Great punt return by Argos receiver. Franklin will snap the ball on 1 and 10 from the center yard line........and a 5-yard offside call against the Bombers makes it even better.

Just when things were looking up for Toronto, Franklin is intercepted and the Bombers will scrimmage from their own 36.

Demski gets them in FG range at the TO 45

Weston gets them to the 20 and Andrew has them at the 14 but comes up a yard short of the1rst D on the next play.

Medlock comes in to kick a FG from the 20 - ball splits the uprights and Justin is 14 of 15 on the season.

Bombers 38 - Argos 20

Argos 2 and out
Bombers 2 and out
Argos with great field position again at their 50 yard line

4:43 to go in the final Q and the Argos have made it all the way to the Bomber's 50 ............then to the 45 and now they are 3 and 10 and going for it......and will turn the ball over as the receiver is caught behind the line of scrimmage.
I think Bomber fans can start celebrating anytime now.
3 minute warning .........Toronto fans are looking pretty downhearted.
Bombers go 2 and out..........Argos will scrimmage from their own 17 yard line.........and Franklin dumps the ball on 1 and 10
He connects with his receiver on the next pass but far short of the 1rst D
Bombers have the ball back with 1:44 to go
Andrew Harris has 155 yards rushing ...........and with that last run you can tack on a few more
:46 3 and 2, Medlock out to punt and kicks it out at the TO 10 ............lots and lots of empty seats in the stands.........Franklin keeps the ball and gets a yard with :31 to go......2 and 9.........really long day for the Argo defense.....they earned their pay today and then some......Argos get the D on the run but the clock runs out on the final play and the Bombers will go home with another W in the win column.

Final Score: 38 - 20 Yeah Hoovers

Calgary at Montreal

Montreal got on the scoreboard first after a booming kick by Bede that went all the way to the end zone but the Calgary's opening drive also went all the way to the end zone - difference being they got 8 (2-pt convert was good) while the Als only got 1.

It could be a very long night for the Al's D.

Drew Willy is back at the helm for the Al's after being out with an injury.

Looks like 25 - 8 will be the final score with only a minute thirty-four left to go in the final Q. The Stamps should have had a much higher score but the Al's D came into play a few times tonight and penalties played their part.

I surely hope that Coach Jones has the entire team reviewing this game all week long because from what I saw tonight, if we bring our A-team to the game next week, we stand a pretty good chance of beating Calgary.

He has looked pretty good from what I have seen.

Good mobility and a fair arm.

I wanted to say something funny about it, but I couldn't think of anything funnier than "The Ti-Cats have traded Johnny Manziel to the Als."

I was a bit surprised to hear about the 'Johnny Football' trade this morning considering that Mazoli didn't do all that well against the Riders in their back-to-back games but am really happy for the Al's who once again saw Drew Willy go down to an injury in their game. Hope Manziel can breathe some life into the Montreal team as they surely need some.
