Riders leading by 2 points after a completed FG.

Reilly just got the team another TD with 2:23 left in the 4th but they fail to convert on the 2-point attempt and lead by just 4 points.

Well I do believe the Riders are toast after that 46-yard FG by Sean Whyte and with the final seconds dwindling down in the game....we'd need a miracle to win this one.

Final Score: 26 - 19 Eskimos

I expect TSN ratings will be high and Molson stadium enjoying a larger than average attendance tonight as the Hamilton Ti-Cats will be in town to take on the Alouettes in a game that will see Johnny Manziel take to the field in his first official start as pivot. Thus, the interest in the game. It will also be his former team that he will be playing against which could make matters interesting.

Jeremiah Mazoli has not had a good solid outing in a couple of games and needs to get his control back and start completing drives to the end zone. He's got a lot of weapons at the ready including a solid ground game. Hamilton currently sits in second place in the Eastern Standings with a 2 and 4 record. Montreal is in last place with but one single W against 5 consecutive losses. Both teams need the points as it is getting late in the season. I hope to see a well fought game by both teams tonight.

GO TI-CATS!

Game starts at 4:30 PST on TSN1,2,3 and 4

Never underestimate the ability of the Redblacks to snatch defeat from the jaws of certain victory.

In the case of the Argos it was definitely snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and they did it in such a spectacular fashion. It was a joy to behold. I love it when a team fights their way back like that - hell they were down by 28 points before they started to turn things around. I really credit young Bethel-Thompson, he seemed to grow into his position in leaps and bounds last night. The Argo defense also improved vastly as the night went on and the game advanced. Up until that outstanding catch in the end zone by Edwards with 1 second on the clock - I live for plays like that - I was sure the Redblacks had this one in the bag.

I've decided with my Rouges et Noirs my best bet is to wait until the day AFTER the game to celebrate a victory. Cuz if there's a way to lose a game after the final whistle, my boys will find it!

I'll be so glad when the game starts and I don't have to hear literally every single announcer and host talking about Johnny. Enough already. A lot of pressure on the young man, I do hope he acquits himself well - for everyone's sake.

Well you're still sitting tops in the East, Tec - that's something at least and the RBs are a good team. No one and I include a lot of sports announcers, expected the Argos to win last night. That they did is good for team and the league. For the same reasons, Montreal really needs a win tonight.

True. But why can't they beat the Stamps and lose to the RBs? That would work (whimper, gripe, whine).

Cats up first on offense......incomplete pass........Mazoli to Saunders for 48 yard gain......Green going nowhere on the ground......Brandon Banks with the 1D............Green gets 3 yards rushing the ball.........Mazoli to Brandon Banks in the end zone.........TD...converts good and the Cats are on the board with 7

Nobody can beat the Stamps, Tec.......so far anyway. They have a perfect record.

Way to go Special Teams.........fumble the ball on the return.......gotta be better than that boys.....and here's Johnny...............hand off to his receiver who loses 5 yards on the play........next pass - his first - is intercepted by the Cats and they will have excellent field position. I think the fumbled return jinxed that series.

Yeah, so did the Patriots until they met the 9-7 (regular season) Giants in the Super Bowl.

All it takes is grit, determination, and a little package of salmonella to sneak into the Stamps' gatorade cooler.

I agree with the grit and determination part, Tec. Win fair or go home. No bugs in the drinks. No deflated footballs. Just two teams giving it their fair and honest all. Teams that do that, win or lose, get my attention.

Meanwhile, back in Montreal the Cats just got another 7 points on the board off the TO by the Als. Pick up your socks Montreal - Mazoli is on fire tonight and the Cat's D is fierce.

There is better attendance then I've seen in awhile in Molson stadium but even Johnny couldn't fill all the seats.

Hand-off to Sutton for a gain of 7............Sutton stone-walled on next attempt.....second 2 and out for the Als.

OMH........things just went from really bad to worse for the Als.........Bede's kick was blocked, Erlington grabbed the ball and ran it in for Hamilton's 3rd TD of the Q.

Erlington, BTW was one of the players Montreal sent to Hamilton in the trade for Maziel.

Al's finally get a 1D courtesy of a penalty against the Cats.

Ah noooooooooooo. Johnny had to scramble under heavy pressure from the Cats D but somehow managed to get the ball away to Sutton who obviously was not ready for the pass, bobbled the ball which fell right into the hands of a Hamilton defender for the 2nd TO of the Q.

2 plays later and the Cats are in the end zone again 27 - 0, zip, nada with 3:35 left in the First Quarter.

Sutton gets 7 on the run........Johnny under pressure again manages to scramble his way free and improvises a nice little chip shot to his receiver for 3 yards then connects with ? for the D. Sutton gets another the D and some yac yards to boot..............Johnny calls his own number but is stone-walled after a gain of 1 .....2 and 9.........then over-throws Jackson near the end zone. And that will be the last play of the Q.

Als get on the board with a Bede FG...........now they are only 25 points behind the Cats.

Finally the Als have some good luck after Ellis intercepts a pass from Mazoli....which is rather funny considering the fact that Rod Black and Glen Suitor were just talking about how many interceptions Jeremiah threw - this last one makes it 8 - and wham he throws another one.

11:50 in the 2nd and the Als decide to go for it on 3rd and 3..........and Johnny throws his second interception of the game......he did manage to tackle the ball carrier in the end.

I really don't know what else can go wrong for the Alouettes in this game because everything appears to going just right for the Cats.

Happy to see Tasker back in the line-up - he's a tough little fella with lots of second effort.

It took a few attempts but once again, the Cats have found the end zone

35 - 3 with 6:23 left in the Q.

Manziel is definitely settling in...and Montreal is moving the ball - in the air and on the ground.

Well that didn't work so well Johnny...........I think you are trying just a wee bit too hard there.........4th interception of the game for Johnny and the 5th of the game for the Cats.

With :48 seconds left in the half Lirim nails a chip shot to put the Cats ahead 38 - 3.

Good grief. My Cats are obliterating Montreal. I should be, am - happy for Hamilton while at the same time find myself pulling for the Alouettes. They should all mainline some Red Bull. What do the coaches say to the team when you are down this many points? Pull your socks up boys? Whatever they say I surely hope it can work some magic on the players.

3rd Q:
Al's - 2 and out
Cats get the benefit of a great punt return to midfield ..............incomplete pass.......then Jeremiah gets creamed by the Als D bringing up 3 and 10.......ah hell Al's Robinson just got a contacting the kicker call and that gives the ball right back to the Cats at 3rd and 2..........Cats decide to go for it...........Mazoli finds Saunders for a gain of 4 and the 1D...........Mazoli overthrows his receiver........and comes close to being intercepted by Chip Cox and the Cats will call on Lirim...........and he's 'right down mainstreet' as Rod Black just noted .......Cats increase their lead 41 - 3.

I'm not seeing any magic at work for the Als yet.

This is one of those games where I am pretty sure of the outcome but feel the need to hang in there.......just in case.

Another 2 and out by the Als
Hamilton will get the ball at their own 40 - again with the decent field position.........they have yet to be pinned deep.........Al's read that play and caught Mazoli for a loss of 2..............Saunders again with a nifty little reception for the D and more......Jeremiah with a little too much juice on that pass.........incomplete.................and then he gets sacked again for another loss of yards and the Cats will be punting the ball away.......the Al's D did their part. Come on offense.

Maziel finds his receiver for the 1D.......Cats rush for 8 then bring in Franklin with a nifty little play call that gets them the D.......Maziel's pass incomplete but a little too close to another interception..........Jackson makes the reception but comes up short of the D and Als will punt

First time all night that the Cats are backed up in their own red zone.........great kick by the Venerable Bede.

However.......they have absolutely no problem getting out to the 30 yard line thanks to a great run by Jeremiah.................gain of 3 on the ground.........Mazoli finds his receiver for the D.......flag on the next play.....Montreal PI......10 yard gift to the Cats and the first D...... with :17 left in the Q.............Mazoli finds Williams for a gain of 8......:02 .....Alex Green breaks through for the D and some yac yards to boot.......end of Q.

Jeremiah just ran for 16 yards and the TD........when he's hot ......he sizzles.

Well that's it for Johnny unless he comes in later in the Q......Vernon Adams is in as pivot and leads the Als to a 2 and out

Jeremiah over 300 yard passing tonight.....so far

But that pass won't be added to his score as he throws an interception right into the hands of Dozier and here I was thinking the least the Cats would come away with was a FG.

I think Johny Football may be on the way to Johny Unemployed. Not a great debut. Even ESPN has picked up on his misfortune with a special ESPN update on my phone.

Blessedly the 3-minute warning was just given.

The Als actually manage to get a TD with 2:39 left in the game.......and they add a 2-point convert

47 - 11 with 2:44 to go

With Jeremiah on the sidelines and Evans replacing him behind center, the Cats still managed to put points on the board with another FG by Lirim.

With :14 to go it's safe to say the final score will be: 50 - 11 for the Cats.

Four picks for Johnny Bench in his first appearance.

Probably not time to retire that nickname just yet.

Oh Johnny will be on the field for the first series in the Al's next game. Bet on it. Now how long he will stay out there.............that's the question. Sherman could very well employ Jones' deplorable tactic of using a QB carousel completely confusing everyone along the way.........except of course, the opposition.

Watching the Stumps vs the Pussys right now. I can't believe I'm actually pulling for BC - but I am, they need a win and the Stumps richly deserve a loss. :p:lol:

1rst Q: BC gets on the board with 3 points then Bo takes over - after a couple of Ds, he peels off a 48-yarder to his receiver for a TD

No points on that drive for the Stumps as the BC D steps up and shuts Bo and the O-line down smartly.

The Stumps have the ball back after an interception on a tipped ball from Travis.

The Creamsicles are really missing Aluminium.

They are certainly missing something pete - Calgary is walking all over them. I feel for Travis on that interception - wasn't his fault the receiver tipped the ball and a Stampeder defender was right there to grab the ball. Bad luck that.
