Brandon Banks went over 1000 yards receiving on his last reception and the Cats are leading the Lions 20 to zip late in the 1rst Q having faced little opposition defensively from BC so far.

I hit the hay before the Stumps vs TO game was over last night and am assuming the former won based upon the fact that it was late in the final Q, Calgary was in firm control of the game - as indeed they were all night having regained their early season form - and led by at least 15 points. The biggest factor in the Argos loss was their penalty total which was over 100 yards prior to the half. That a good number of the huge loss of yards was due to penalties incurred after the play is inexcusable. Mark has his work cut out for him.

Ti-Cats Jones just made an unbelievable reception as the ball passed through the hands of BC defender Orange dropping right into his own. It was magic.

At the rate that Wally's chewing his mouth, he may need surgery when this one's done. That last interception by the Cats who are now threatening to add yet more points to their score probably did major damage.

We go into the half with the Cats enjoying a 27 point lead and just having prevented the Lions from a last minute TD to add to the feeble 3 points they have on the board. The ball slipped right through the hands of the BC receiver as he leapt to catch it in the end zone.

The Riders are doing well. My Redblacks are doing brilliantly!

They have the same record. The difference between "well" and "brilliantly!" is the conferences they're in.

OK, I'm up for a Riders/Redblacks Grey Cup!

The part that PISSES ME OFF is that ESPN has decided to put 90% of its CFL games behind a paywall.

Hmm. . . decisions, decisions.

1:35 in the 3rd - Jennings throws up another reception........Cat's Daly grabs the ball makes a bee-line for the end zone..... TD Hamilton............Cats 40 - 3. I do believe that fully cooked the Lion's goose.

Well shit, Tec that sucks for sure. I agree with you about your Redblacks but I have reservations about my Riders. Last week was the first game all season that we actually saw what could be called a Rider offense capable of reaching the end zone and scoring. Yes our defense is good but they too have their days. The special teams are one of the good news areas of our game. We cannot continue to rely on either of them to put points on the board as they have done for a good part of the season. If I don't see an effective offense on the field tomorrow scoring TDs - not just FGS - I doubt that we will even make it to the Cup.

First and foremost we need to establish a reliable rushing game. We've seen that both Tre' and Marcus are capable of securing us 1rst Ds.........if they are given the openings they need - that is the job of the front line and they need to do it better. Zach has to caution himself when making those iffy passes that have seen the ball intercepted. He also needs more awareness of where his receivers are as too often in the past he's thrown into double or triple coverage when he could have gone to a wide-open receiver. Being that OC McAdoo has so far proven to be capable of little more than designing plays that would mortify a high-school coach, I am not expecting any huge leaps forward in that department.

4th Q 4:37 and counting left in the game............score 40 to 9...........I don't think even Roddie will see a comeback by the Lions in this one.

The Cats rocked this game from the start. Congratulations Hamilton.

Next up............the Bombers are in Edmonton to take on the Esks. I expect to see the Eskimos put up another W on the board after this one is over.........but Nicols and crew could may very well surprise me.

Hmmmn......appears I was a tad hasty in awarding the Esks a win .......so far the Bombers have had a better handle on this game putting up 10 unanswered points as we approach the midway mark of the 2nd Q.
