If Trump was smart, he'd say, "you all know that I just say whatever pops into my head, and make up sht and lie about anything and everything, so why do you think the stuff I said about women was any different?"

In your opinion! (Which you are fully entitled to) :) :)

I believe the word "impeach" as it applies to Presidents just means to challenge! Correct me if I am wrong.

"Impeach" has several meanings, from the formal process for removing an officer of the United States (or other countries) to casting doubt on or disproving a statement or testimony or the person making the statement or testimony. Danbones's use of the term was correct.

im·peach

(ĭm-pēch′)tr.v. im·peached, im·peach·ing, im·peach·es 1. a. To make an accusation against: impeach someone of a crime.
b. To bring formal charges against (a public official) for wrongdoing while in office.

2. To raise doubts about; discredit or disparage: impeach a witness's credibility; impeach someone's character.

Tenpenny was half right..............I was thinking more of the first definition stated.............."to make an accusation against"

I think Trump is a very foolish man!
But I have never, in my long life, felt such contempt and disgust for a politician as I do for Hillary Clinton. Not even our horrible Prime Minister and our blathering Ontario PRemier, Wynne!

Clinton is not winning on policy or past record. She is winning on the sleaziest tactics imaginable, intimidation, calling in favors and promises of future favors. I think a lot of people are afraid to oppose or speak out against her.

I wouldn't call her supporters 'deplorables', like she called Trump's supporters, but I think some of them are naïve, some are protecting their jobs, some are just dyed-in-the-wool Democrats who would vote for Jack the Ripper rather than change stripes. Some probably fear for their lives; not a stretch as I believe she is quite capable of ordering assassination (if she hasn't already done so, as rumored).

I think Hillary is everything she has called Trump and worse.

Very good, JLM. Your homework for tomorrow is to look up "escheat," and use it in a sentence! ;D
Got it for you today.

Correct on every count. Trump could have had the most prestigious and powerful job in the world. If he has just remained cool and kept his mouth shut it would have defaulted to him on intelligence alone. Can he pull it out of the fire now? Doubtful!

If I was very rich, father of 5, I would bow out of the race immediately. There are more tapes, he's the type that would have been yelling his vulgarities all the time. To continue to be mocked by the world should not be an option for Trump, he should get on his yacht, cruise to St.Tropez and pamper himself and his family for a while. The man is 70 years old. He's lost the race, why not stop the bleeding before the press starts on his family.

Pretty close. The property escheats, it don't get escheated. But you got the "it goes to the state" part right.

Probably not. I'm not Godwinning here, but it's kinda like folks who say Hitler woulda been real good for Germany if he hadn't attacked Poland and France. His whole economic plan depended on launching wars. Similarly, without the bombast and braggadocio that's killing Trump now, he never woulda been a celebrity in the first place and wouldn't have won the nomination.

It's all very MacBethian. The same characteristics that caused his rise caused his fall.

With respect, I think Hillary's tactics more closely resemble Hitler that those of Trump.
She is misleading the people with lies and guile. Her heavy-handedness in keeping her supporters in line is more akin to Hitler too.

Would you care to speculate on where you think the country will go under a Clinton Administration?

And why does the voting start so early in some of the States? How 'democratic' is that?

This past 6 months has left me disillusioned and very sad. I have looked up to the U.S. all of my life as a symbol of what is good and right in an imperfect world and an inspiration toward which other countries should aspire. I now feel abandoned and adrift, just like I did when my brother, my hero, my protector; my adviser died. I don't like it!

Thank you. Lies and guile and heavyhandedness. And Godwin. That's the trifecta plus one!

Pretty much the same place it's been going since 1990.

Because the state legislatures said so. How democratic is it? Very democratic, I'd say. Gives folks the maximum chance to vote.

Sorry about that. It's left me amused.

That's OK. I always thought Canadians were nice. I guess we all need to face reality some time.

I have found the people in the N.W. part of the U.S. to be exemplary w/o exception. Sadly that doesn't include the powers that be! But to be fair I've had no direct experience with the higher echelons.

I think both Trump and Hillary have hard floors of 40% of the electorate. You'll see that reappear within a couple of days, erasing this supposed 'double digit' lead for Hillary, after this completely irrelevant video thing disappears.

10% of the electorate will vote for 3rd parties. That means this election will be decided by a highly fluid 10% of 'undecided' voters. Late deciders like this are composed of people who are non-ideological, unalligned, dipassionate, pragmatic and very much focussed of local and personal issues.

What i have noted is that the most relevant and resonant leaks of the last few days have come from Wikileaks. Which have exposed Hilllary as person who resolutely ascribes to a borderless world for trade, currency, investment, people. She is a radical Free Market neoconservative, in debt to Wall Street, and devoted to a 'post national' global landscape.

The hacking of her campaign manager's, John Podesta, emails paint her as someone who is dependent on a clique of advisors.. all murky, backroom Democratic neoliberals (essentially the same thing as neoconservatives). She lacks a political identity, vision and self confidence. She is very much a candidate designed by a committee of political hacks.

For all Trump's flaws he is his own man. He has authentic concern for the country. He is not a servant of ideologies, establishments or political correctness. He is raw and honest. I remain convinced he can win. The polls.. and especially phone polls of 'likely' voters.. does not represent the mood of the U.S which is desperate for a change in direction. Hillary can't provide that.

What we've seen over the last 72 hours is an Establishment Media Lynch Mob imposing their own form of justice on this renegade candidate. The Ryan/Romney/McCain faction of the Republican Establishment have decided to abandon Trump, believing his defeat is inevitable and that this will allow them to regain control of the Party that Trump has usurped from them. I can't believe that they haven't destroyed their own credibility in the process.

I think Trump will triumph. That will presage a massive shift in the national, Western and global political and economic paradigm.
