I went to the Lions-Argos game on Thursday. Very small crowd. We picked up last minute tickets and sat 16 rows up on the 50-yard line. Great seats but a dull game.

The game announcers mentioned something about the stands being less than full, Kreskin. Edmonton fans were out in droves for the game yesterday and they had no trouble voicing their feelings about Chris Jones. I'm sure they were elated to see their Esks beat the Riders.

I'll be seeing the Lions Vs Red Blacks from the Corporate member boxes in Oct. I can get you in. Drinks and food are freebies.

I missed the last half. Looks like something finally went right for the Leos.

I think he's done. Sad but I think it's the truth. Jennings was great. I doubt Lulay will ever start another game.

What I find sad, pete is that after losing all their coaching staff and a good portion of their players, the Edmonton Eskimos have barely missed a beat whilst the beneficiaries - our Riders - can't seem to find a single way to win a game. I'm having a real hard time feeling all warm and cozy about this edition of the team. Maybe management would have been better off going after Wally.

Still think it was Chambers fault?

Well I can hardly blame him for what is happening now, can I? That said, I stand by my thinking regarding how Chambers handled the team following the Cup win, pete. He took far too much responsibility upon himself. albeit with the blessing of management, and he did not do a good job of any of the positions, IMHO. His media interviews after some of the losses were cringing moments to witness.

But nothing changed. It obviously was using him as a scapegoat.

But being a rebuild year and 3 months to go thing could change IF they finally pick up an experienced back up QB.

Agreed. First they gave him the leeway he wanted then when that didn't work out so well, management turfed him as if he was the total cause of all the problems - which he wasn't.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, pete. I do have faith in Chris as he has proven in the past that he can get the job done. Yes, we most certainly do need a QB or 2 for that matter - you know in case the first pick gets creamed by the likes of BC's Brooks who should have been benched after his 3rd hit on one of our QBs.

Probably not.

In other CFL news Argos managed to attract 12'000 fans the other night.

How long will they last?

Was doing my annual tour of Regina today with my son and went to show him Mosaic Stadium. As we drove by I was thinking there is an awful lot of construction stuff around the site to host a game tomorrow. Then I saw a second Mosaic Stadium in the distance. I had thought they were just updating the old one but I guess they are building a brand new one 1 block over. Assume it opens next year?

Probably not.

That's pretty good for them. An improvement on past years.
