Your guys gave us a great game, gopher..........that first period was lights out hockey ..........but you are right, our guys kinda wore your guys down..........I don't know where they get the energy from but it starts at the drop of the puck and doesn't stop till the last whistle blows. This is the best all-round Junior team Canada has fielded in some years.......every line capable of scoring.

I thought that was such a classy move on Reinhart's part to mosey along with the puck long enough to pass it to Domi for the last empty-netter.......that's sportsmanship.

Russia beat the US and Sweden beat the Fins. In the 3rd P with just over 10 minutes to go, Slovakia is ahead of the Czechs 1 - 0.

Coming into this tournament I would have said a Demmark win against Canada would be the upset of the century but the Danes have played well. It would still be a shocker if canada lost but I'm no where near as confident as I should be

We can take nothing for granted. Staying out of the penalty box will help. Zach has to be on top of his game. Other than that, if we play as well as we have then it should be a good game for our team.

The top line of Denmark is formidable.....which makes me happy seeing as Ehlers is a Jets prospect. That said, I hope he has an off game tonight.

Ray Ferraro agrees with me about the discipline.........though I don't expect to see quite the level of animosity between us and the Danes as there is between us and the US.

12:10 in 2nd P - after relentless pressure by Canada in the Danish zone, Crouse puts Canada up 3 - 0. But we just took another penalty and the Danes will go back on the PP.

Okay we made it through another one and as the PP comes to an end Connor McDavid gets the turn-over and puts it squarely in the net to put us ahead 4 - 0.

6:39 Lazar gets his second of the game ............5 - 0 Canada.

4:41 Danes called for interference and for holding. Canada with 2-man advantage for 2 minutes with just over 4 minutes left in 2nd.

No joy for Canada on 2-man advantage or 1-man advantage and just before period ends Canada is back in penalty box.

End of 2nd P - Canada SOG 19 - Denmark 3. Canada up 5 -zip but Danes will have a minute and forty-six seconds of PP to open 3rd P.

I just hate it when they dump and chase on the power play because they give up the puck much too often. They took more shots than the Russians but most were right on the goalie's glove. PIM were 16-12 and that may have been a factor in the Russian win.

Thought we were gonna do better but wimped out in international play as we do so often.

Might be a tad early but it looks like we will be playing Slovakia on Sunday.
