2 House Republicans totally mess up the oath of office

They would be Reps. Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA). The story is this: Sessions and Fitzpatrick did not take the oath of office on the House floor with the rest of the members (instead they took it in the underground Capitol Visitors Center in front of a television that was showing the oath ceremony that was going on, on the House floor). This is apparently against the rules, and means that neither Sessions nor Fitzpatrick were duly sworn in as members of the House. And that means all votes that Sessions and Fitzpatrick have since taken are void.

That's a whoopsie moment, a little embarrassing for Sessions perhaps. If that's the worse he does in the 112th Congress, he'll be a step ahead of many I'm sure!

Worse: the place where Sessions and Fitzpatrick were at, was a swearing-in reception for Fitzpatrick, a reception where Fitzpatrick solicited money from attendees. This could be a violation of House rules, and probably should go to the House Ethics Committee. So says Paul Blumenthal, senior writer at the Sunlight Foundation and Craig Holman, election law expert at Common Cause.

Your point is just silly. Democrats have historically also controlled Congress more than Republicans.

Besides, I can make the case that Republicans are more corrupt than Democrats based upon this...

I know what I just said. There are always corrupt members of Congress. The more members of a specific political party, the more chances there are for members of that party to be corrupt. So, historically, since Democrats have had more members of Congress than Republicans, they are also going to have more historically corrupt members. Duh...

Find function. Search for words, strings of words on a webpage, highlight them, scroll through all hits. In Firefox it's a box that opens at the bottom of the open window, and doesn't impede navigation. Internet Explorer, which I'm forced to use at work, brings the box up on the middle of the page...

Then by this way of thinking the statistics on violent crime in the US (by race) should be the opposite of what they really are.......
Why don't you do yourself a favour and just admit that the Democrats are just more crooked

So, someone will now have to tally the number of congressional representatives for both parties, and determine the occurence of expelled, censured, etc for both parties. There's no a priori information here to suggest that the rates should be the same...

You do realize that we are still talking about Congressional corruption, right? Cause you sort of went off into a no man's land there.

Oh....Thanks... on windows seven ...I don't know if it's part of google toolbar or part of explorer there is a search box on top left that does that...and it highlights the word I'm searcing for.
