This stupid fear mongering that businesses aren't going to hire people if they have to fork out an actual livable wage is hilarious, businesses need workers or they're screwed. They will hire because they absolutely rely on the labour - it's total fear mongering and stupid bootlickers like JLM lap it up to the detriment of the working class. This mentality should end, fight for better conditions.

I cities where they have implemented $15 minimum wage laws, business is booming. More money in workers pockets means more money spent. That ain't rocket science.

Not when the price of labour is higher than revenue. Bankrupt companies don't pay any wages. AIn't rocket science.

Would you pay someone $15 an hour before they know anything and are incapable of producing $15 worth of product in an hour? If it's manual labour that requires very little training I'm all for it. If it's flipping burgers what is going to happen to the price of burgers and who is going to buy them, Einstein?

And the money comes from?

Actually what happens every time you raise a wage or a price, is the dollar gets deflated!

Wrong. What happens when you raise minimum wage is the price of goods and services go up ten everyone else wants a raise and it balances out again where minimum wage can't buy you what you need to live.

Flipping burgers? Places like Mcdonalds are a billion dollar business because of their workers.. They deserve a livable wage, period.

And you want to keep the business that way. When the business goes broke or decides to move to Upper Manchuria the workers won't be earning any money.

That's what's been happening as far as my memory goes back to the 1940s. After 60 years you'd think they'd start catching on. :) :)

What the hell are you talking about you joke?

Corporate success is only because of the labour they hire is for less than they're worth (produce), not the higher ups who pretend they do something but are about as worthless as a calculus textbook in the hands of Walter.

It's not difficult to see labour is the result of all progress, hence destroy the parasitical bourgies, put the means of production in the hands of the actual producers, the workers.

Yeah, labour is one facet of production, like a wheel is one part of a car!

P.S. actually it's you who is the joke! Go study some economics.

Wow....you're really bitter you lack the skills and intelligence to progress past minimum wage. I know....try punching yourself in the face all day.

Actually that is a crock of total Bull sh*t! :) :) How are the workers at McDonalds any different from Sam's burger joint down the street or one of the thousand outfits that go broke every year. Before you have a $billion business and before you hire any workers there are two vital ingredients.......................Planning and preparation, labourers aren't generally involved in those processes. Do you really believe the workers at the Edsel plant were any less productive than the ones at the Ford plant?

this idiot is an enemy of the worker, as we can see by his desire to bootlick the bourgies.
