What is the status quo? What is the Standard? Who has too much? What is your experience with the environment beyond a weekend at an overcrowded Provincial Park? You haven't even hit the "Dad I need $$$ for_____." while pay off a mortgage that lost %25 - 40% and it's equity or the company you work for heading to cheaper more prosperous lands as is happening right now before your foolish eyes. Your a$$ is far from safe. What is your backup plan?

I don't have a specific guideline, but I think that having the opportunity for a decent job, and a reasonable set of societal freedoms would be a good start.

I think Western society is on the right track that we'll probably have an agreeable life style in 20 or so years.

All of this hinges on good government that can facilitate a healthy environment, sustainable economy and more personal liberties.

We could have an agreeable lifestyle now if all the NIMBYs and NOPEs would get out of the way.

This all depends on what standard of living we want.

If we want to lower the standard, then yes, overpopulation isn't really a concern.

But if we want to enjoy a healthy environment while maximizing economic benefit, then we should stop reproducing like rabbits.

I've already pointed out that the entire world's population can currently fit on the Isle of Wight, which is just 150 sq miles in size. There is no overpopulation going on. That is just scaremongering from the same people who give us the Global Warming scaremongering. You really do have to stop believing everything these people tell you. Just a bit of common sense, and some fairly simple mathematics, will tell you that they are liars.
