heh, kids these days......yeah, that's what I said alright...annyywayyy...go buy your lebrons with your welfare check or crack profits but leave the food stamps to feed the brood. Clear enough?

Not quite. Can you clear up the racist code words? I'm much more comfortable when you are straight up racist, not when you sneak around like that.

Hey Loc... when they talk asinine you know it is all they have.

Food Stamps are now a scam. In Massachusetts they are given out like candy. Just about anyone that wants one can get one.

The last I heard was that 900,000 people in your state has SNAP:

Food stamp cuts taking hold for Massachusetts families as stimulus boost expires - Nation - The Boston Globe

This represents only 13% of the population and fully one third of its beneficiaries are children with another 15% elderly. 4,000 are veterans. We do not appear to have an actual figure of how many adults are disabled as compared with others who are fully able to work. Thus, we know over 50% of the beneficiaries do not have the means to support themselves either through youth, age, and presumably some form of health related incapacity. Assuming that half of these 900,000 are incapacitated it means that (more or less) 6% of the people in that state are on SNAP {food stamps}.

I suggest that 6% is a small figure and defeats your argument that SNAP is readily available as is candy.

Oh The Boston Globe... in other words the main liberal news source for Massachusetts.

SNAP is readily available like candy if you choose to live on the states dime. SNAP is just one of the many "entitlements" and "benefits" available. Massachusetts EBT cards are readily available as well!

And you sound as if 13% is not a big number and you arbitrarily reduce the number to 6% through assumptions. Seriously?

C'on Eagle - you're better than that. If you bothered to read it you would clearly see half of those recipients are children or elderly. If you include returning vets and others it is a good bet that at least half or around 6% of the 13% are incapacitated in some way. That is hardly an earth shaking figure. And if you are going to try to impeach the Globe how about trying to present some evidence to support your ideas rather than just criticize?
