The same people who are still shocked that the lady who gets sawed in half on stage by the magician is still alive apparently.

You may yet turn out to be absolutely right. It's hard to say how much of the 'additional support' for charest comes from simple name recital (when put on the spot people have a habit of saying the name they're most familiar with) and how much of the 'fear' is coming from a liberal media that PP...

Senator who endorsed Charest won’t apologize for comparing Poilievre to Putin

And there's the difference isn;t it. Putin shut down media - PP simply wants it to stand on it's own two feet. He's talking about de-funding it not turning it off

https://tnc.news/2022/08/13/senator-putin-poilievre/ Seriously - we have GOT to get away from our politicans behaving like this. It just divides the country.

    Alberta Provincial Liberal Party

Well it's not surprising. It hasn't been popular for a long time and with the NDP actually winning an election and having at least a shot at winning another that's where the support is going to go. Parties rarely shut down alltogethter, there's always that tiny handful who think 'maybe maybe...

Trudeau, Scholz to sign agreement exploring hydrogen fuel production in Canada for export to Germany

Well as you may be aware, natural gas tends to exist where oil does. In fact, Alberta which is home to most of our oil reserves actually has even LARGER natural gas reserves than it does oil. Natural gas and methane are all part of the oil drilling process and must be burned off or dealt with so...

And you're going to find large pockets of that but it's hardly universal at this point and back east it's kind of the exact opposite - and there's a much larger percentage of people back east. So when we're looking at how we're doing, that's what we're going to have to deal with. The fact is...

Trudeau, Scholz to sign agreement exploring hydrogen fuel production in Canada for export to Germany

https://archive.ph/yUkjn So Trudeau won't talk to them about buying natural gas which they could use today, but instead will discuss Hydrogen which will take them years to adapt to and years for us to get into production and uses natural gas to make anyway.

That should be obvious to anyone. I notice the mainstream media isn't picking it up yet. It's just in the small...

the polls are weighted, so even if twice as many elderly reply they're numbers are paired back to be a percent similar to their percent of the population. And if it was one single poll i'd tend to discount it but a number from different pollsters have reflected the same sort of results. Now...

Trudeau’s nitrogen policy will decimate Canadian farming

A click wide and a centimeter deep as the saying goes. But that's only because his supporters have been allowing that. I recall a time when even the liberal supporters would never have tolerated his antics and demanded more or that he leave. I honestly don't know how we got to this.

That certainly is going to play a factor - since the 80's gov'ts get 'stale' and it's very hard to convince the electorate to stick with the current gov't at the best of times. And these aren't exactly his 'best of times'.
