They already can get those altho' not all are "free". You also have a "choice" to get them The "free" ID refers to Government ID so that if you don't drive (as an example) you still have "picture" ID available to you. The rest of the examples as you've stated are not.

Everyone has an ID except perhaps some of the homeless but generally ID's are free to get so I don't know what the issue would be. There is likely an attitude or ability issues or it's not important for them to get to the nearest government office to get one. Who knows but an ID is easily...

How about we put our taxes towards things that actually improve the lives of Canadians instead of wasting money by giving out funds to government "friends". As for highway clearing, Alberta uses private contractors each of whom are responsible for clearing a specific highway. Seems to work well.

LOL - just as I started reading your post I thought - OMG they're actually doing it in Quebec and the fine will be "substantial". This will likely go to court as I doubt if this is Constitutional - having said that, Quebec likely doesn't recognize the Constitution anyway so they don't give a sh!t.
