This summer may see first ice-free North Pole

That's nice, what's the volume of ice compared to last year, 5 years ago, 20 years ago.

You'd know about stupidity. After all, you're the one that was confusing local weather with global climate and can't read temperature anomaly graphs and think short term temperature fluctuations, ice areas, etc. are indicative of long term trends. lmao

The sun rises in the west? WOW That'll annoy a whole bunch of Imams who always tell their subjects to pray to the east at sunup. It rises in the east over here. Even when we went to Belize it rose in the east there, too.

rofl That's it? That's your rebuttal to the facts? How very adult of you.

Greater area does not mean more ice. It simply means it's spread out more. One would have to look at the other factors concerning the volume of ice to be able to say there's more ice than just area. Try going by the total mass or volume of the ice if you want to be accurate about "more" or...

It's comfortable if a bit gloomy here in northern BC, at the moment. But it's going to get hot again, according to the weather. Some ice-age.

    LogMeIn

I'm just trying out this remote access thing call LogMeIn. The trial's free. I wanted stuff from the desktop at home to give daughter for her pc. Work's like a charm. Thought I'd see if I could log in from here through our home pc and it worked. Going to see if I can mess around with my cousin's...

    Pancakes for breakfast....or whatever

"Creeps" are awesome, too. 1 1/2 cups milk (raw milk is best) 3 egg yolks 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar salt (I use pinches, I don't know how much cuz I have big fat fingers.) 5 tablespoons melted butter Vanilla squirt (the real stuff)

    Pancakes for breakfast....or whatever

lol Our girls think I make then best ever. I make one pancake at a time. They are about 10" in diameter and about an inch thick. And I, like Dex, add the vanilla last, and to make them really fluffy, I put a lid over them. Not a complete seal as I think the moisture would make them soggy. Never...

Canadian AIDS researcher moves to Florida with team

Just heard on the radio today that Rafick-Pierre Sékaly has packed up and moved his team to Florida mainly because of cutbacks in scientific funding that Flahtulence and Harpy implemented. And this is at a time when the researcher is gaining good ground in fighting HIV and AIDS. -...

Ever take a close look at the 10 Commandments?

lol I am paraphrasing Christopher Hitchens who was on CBC radio today. Ahah!! There are other gods. No art? How tedious. This one and the first two display a distinct insecurity on the part of the issuer. Considering, this god is supposed to be omnipotent, all I can say is "go figger"...

How the GW myth is perpetuated

http://www.questar.com/1OurCompany/newsreleases/2009_news/UVUSpeech.pdf It kinda seemed as if the guy was implying that we will have even more oil in the future than we do now, too.

How the GW myth is perpetuated

Timing was off a bit, yup. We saw it in a philosophical manner so timing and pain were relatively irrelevant. Yup. Until more people realize petroleum products are a dead end and there are better things available. The more people see in alternate energies the bigger the field gets. I think he...

How the GW myth is perpetuated

Hope I remember to read the rest of the article. Not that we have much prescience, but we sold our oil shares a couple or 3 years ago and bought into alternate energies. Shortly after that, I had a pretty good discussion with a bean counter who was stating that business in general would die. I...
