The best beef roast and how to cook it

We make little cuts in the meat, insert slices of garlic, and then super hot sear the roast all around for seconds each side. We cook pretty much any cut till it's about 130 degrees on the inside at about 350º F. Makes a nice medium rare roast.

    Yorkshire Pudding

I thought the muffin types were called popovers and the cake type thingy was actually the YP. Anyway, wifey found that making pancake batter works like a charm for them. I think she even cheated and used pancake mix a couple times. :D

Global Warming ‘Greatest Scam in History’

Walter, solar energy is neat, one can basically roof one's house with panels. What extra land do you need? How about refineries, filtering stations, and pumping stations? Yeah, they don't use much land. Want heat? bury a pipe in the ground to get geothermal heat. Yeah Alternate energy is so...

This summer may see first ice-free North Pole

Yup. Instead of having people building fossil fueled vehicles in huge, poorly managed companies, we could have people building electric vehicles in small, better-managed companies. :D

I think a few billion people HAVE adversely affected the planet. Plastic Oceans: Best Life Online.com UNEP - Freshwater I think it's pretty naive to think we haven't had an impact.

And any evidence indicating global warming will be ignored and scoffed at as being propaganda or concocted? It's pretty hard to stay objective, I agree.

What does that say about a cycle that may have a duration of more than 7 years, though? What's that like in comparison to the last 50 years, for instance? The last 200 years?

    Death knell for AGW

how about that? A cold winter in one place and a heat wave somewhere else. What's the average? Is it higher than the same time last year? Last decade? Lower? Do averages indicate higher temps or cooler? Let's not look at evidence. Let's be politic, choose a position, and dig our heels in. lmao

    Canada and extradition

Tonnington's post about Canada's dragging its feet over Mr. Abdelrazik has promted me to mention its policies and actions on extraditions and the like again. Not very much has changed concerning the CIC et al in decades and it's absolutely inane. Canada is a very popular place for white-collar...
