Yay Salmon run has begun

Am i right in assuming you mean Capalano creek?
I was staying at a hostel in Van just over the Granville Street Bridge but before Broadway. I think it was called Alexander house if memory serves.
Anyway they had a bus and we would go out on these day trips, maybe once a week. One time we went to Richmond to pick Liberty caps in the grass between the runways, picking and eating until we couldn't see clearly enough to pick any more. Was a definite blast, fer shur! lol
Another time we went for an awesome hike up Capilano Canyon, crossed the rope bridge and on to the falls.
54 years later and I can't really recall if there was a fish ladder there.
How far upstream do the Salmon run?
have to catch them yourself. Cut out the middle men. Still costs about the same,but you get to enjoy twisted ankles and bugs.
Good question. Right up to Cleveland Dam I believe. I fish at the mouth of the creek on the Rez. The water is really really low this year. It was the driest winter I've experienced in Metro Vancouver
