I believe there was something like 90 people on the ballot so it's not surprising he lost!! He should win the bi-election, at least I hope so.
An electoral reform advocacy group — known as the Longest Ballot Committee — has been organizing dozens of candidates to run in byelections in recent years, resulting in metre-long ballots that have caused delays in vote counting and confounded some voters.

The group wants to put a citizens' assembly in charge of electoral reform and says political parties are too reluctant to make government more representative of the electorate.

After targeting Poilievre's former riding of Carleton, but not the riding Carney was running in literally next door on the same bus route, the group is now aiming to sign up 200 candidates in Battle River-Crowfoot — more than double the 91 that ran in Carleton in April.

It’s a protest against Trudeau’s broken promises, but not against the liberal party. Figure that one out.

Elections Canada said that as of Monday, 132 candidates sponsored by the Longest Ballot Committee were registered to run against Poilievre in a byelection in the Alberta riding of Battle River—Crowfoot set for Aug. 18.

The advocacy group also targeted Poilievre's former riding of Carleton in the spring election, and some 91 people put their names up as candidates. The ballot itself was quite bulky and required a number of folds to submit.

I wonder how many votes a random nobody like me could get ? And I wonder how many salacious stories would come out .
Presumably you and your wife and any kids that are old enough. I would hope that the number of votes would be greater than your voting family size otherwise things might get tense at the dinner table.
