Obama Sued in Philadelphia Federal Court on Grounds he is Constitutionally Ineligible for the Presidency

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

If the DNC lets this crap go through we will end up with Bush III. :-(

Please America. Break the dynasty cycle and prove to the world you are not controlled by aliens.

They're trying very hard to lynch the guy. He should get an award just for surviving the Clintons, if he does.

I would have thought that this story would have been all over Fox News but it isn't. The story is not yet on CBC or the Globe and Mail. I wonder if this isn't just Hillary's last gasp.

Same here; I, too, am surprised it hasn't been in the regular news channels.
Just now I read about the Democrats' convention, and there is no mention of a pending law suit.
Hillary is publicly asking her supporters to get behind Obama.

The article:
Democrats gather to endorse Obama

US Democrats have gathered in Denver, Colorado, to nominate Barack Obama as the first African-American candidate for a presidential election.
------
Mr Obama, 47, will formally accept the party's nomination when he addresses a crowd of 80,000 at a sports stadium on Thursday night, fresh from touring electoral battlegrounds.
-----
Analysts were predicting some of Hillary Clinton's backers, angry that she was never seriously considered for the role, could try to upset the party.
But Mrs Clinton, addressing New York delegates, urged them to throw their support behind Mr Obama.
-----
However, our correspondent adds, there may still be a potential flash-point on Wednesday night.
A roll-call of delegates will be taken and Mrs Clinton's supporters will get the chance to make a symbolic effort to have her nominated.
They will be aware of the revelation over the weekend that Mrs Clinton was never legally vetted as a vice-presidential candidate, meaning she was never seriously considered for the post.

I can understand there is anger over the fact Hillary wasn't offered the VP job. It must hurt her deeply, since she put so much effort and enthusiasm into her campaign. Actually, she never dropped out; she only suspended her campaign, at least as far as I can recall.

Not on Global either.
from the editor of the article:
The mainstream media has not covered the issue. There is barely mention of the lawsuit in America's main news sources. The text of the Press Release is contained in Annex. Links to the main legal dcouments are also provided.
Could it be a hoax? A really bad joke?

If I had only one guess, I would say this likely came from the McCain camp somehow. I found a lot of stuff to backup the fact that Obama was born in the U.S., so I can see why the mainstream news didn;t bother with this........Too risky

Global research is just so much crap.......but if Obama was born in Kenya.....he is ineligible.

Now, trivia question......

What US President was not born in the USA, and was therefore ineligible......but served two terms?

Im guessing it was an early pres if its official (and not a rumour)

Since if you were born out of the US before the US formed I believe you were elligible.
