Children very seldom follow the rules their parents set, so long as they don't follow their own rules, so how the hell can one expect humans to do the same when God is permitted to contradict his own rules, thereby expressing no sense of control or order?
God (or Yahweh) is not equal to man; man has to obey God (or Yahweh); but it is not God that should obey man.
Moreover, God does not wrong people concerning anything; but it is people who wrong themselves by committing many sins and disobeying their Lord, and associating some equals and patrons together with God.

Since he has yet to do anything for me in this life, and expects everything for nothing
Man is ungrateful to his Lord Who bestowed on him every grace and favor and blessing: safety, health, provision, intelligence, education, eye-sight and ear-hearing, and God gave him everything he requested, and he is unaware: eats of the provision of God but does not show gratitude, and seeing every miraculous portent and he does not glorify his Creator; then doesn't such ungrateful man deserves the punishment of God Almighty?
go ahead, take your cat or dog and set them free out into the forest to fend for themselves, don't give them anymore help, no food, no water, no shelter, nothing..... and then expect them to follow along the same rules you had set in your house and see just how long they will survive...... they won't.... and chances are, for as long as they do live, I bet you anything they abandoned your rules in order to survive.
God Most Gracious did not leave man be; he gave him every grace and provided him with all kinds of provision, and explained to him the right and correct way of monotheism and sent to him a large number of prophets and apostles; then in case he denies the grace of his Lord, will not be worthy of severe chastisement?
God's not here, God hasn't done a licking thing for as long as I can at least remember, and I'm the one who's got to survive on this planet along with everybody else..... wtf should I or anyone else be expceted to follow the rules and laws set out by something that has never communicated with us in forever?
This is contrary to the real truth; God exists: His marvelous signs are everywhere around us, and His blessings and grace surround us from every side, with His large number and innumerable bounties.
Whoso follows the commandments of God, it is for his own advantage, and whoso disobeys and contradicts it, it is to his own destruction.
What? Kill the guy, but don't kill him too much?
No one said about such a thing. It means: the relative of the murdered one (like his son or his brother…etc) has the right of taking revenge on the killer, but should not kill more than the killer, and should not kill other than the murderer himself.
So when does God become impoverished? Oh wait, you're addressing questions for one religion with answers from another.... that doesn't make much sense.
The adulterer will sooner or later be impoverished, as will the murderer be killed sooner or later too.
God is not poor; He is Rich: to Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth.
God is not poor; He is Rich: to Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth.
"How similar is today to yesterday, and how similar are the sons to their ancestors" – this is a parable.
God – be glorified – said in the Quran 3: 181
The explanation:
(God has heard the saying of those [Jews] who said: "God is poor and we are rich [: so that He borrows from us, and tells us to expend alms to the poor.]"
We shall write down what they have said, and their slaying the prophets without right,
and We shall say [to them on the Day of Judgment]: "Taste the chastisement of the Burning [in Hell.]"
This [chastisement] shall [you suffer] according to [your unbelief, slaying of the prophets and the evil works] that your hands have forwarded [to your Hereafter] ––
surely God is never unjust in dealing with His servants.)
