Yes in the case of Tim Ball it could be the same thing as you said, what is he suppose to do, morgage his home. Nope, instead he can deny climate change caused by man and get money from big oil. what a shock, he has a vested interest.

People used to believe the oceans were so vast we could never have a significant effect on the ecosystem there. Now all major top predators in our seas have had their numbers drastically reduced. We've got fisherman out there harvesting jellyfish now because that's all that available in the region.

Our species is tranforming the planet at an incredible rate, thinking it's not going to have a dramatic effect on the biosphere is the real arrogance.

Why bother, these debates go nowhere as I have said, once most people get a thought in there head they rarely change it. I switched sides on this issue because I was wrong.
