I know it had a guy named Tony on it. :)

Half the characters had Tony in their names somewhere. They're Italian. heh heh

I hear that a very small pizza joint shown on the opening credits had business increase substantially after the show started. They ship frozen pizza all over the place now just because people saw them in the credits. Funny that.

Warning Spoiler

I was talking to someone about it and they sent me this that seems to go along some what with the link you posted. I haven't actually checked it for accuracy but it seems about right.

Tony was killed....
in fact, the ending was genius if you've paid attention to the show or are just a fan of well developed well thought out plots that all tie together and have the memory of a champ to remember it all.

The ending was simple, he got killed, but let me tell y’all why and explain in detail...
There were 3 people in the room total who had a reason to kill Tony. The two black guys, they were paid before to kill tony but he was only shot in the ear. This was in one of the earlier seasons. Also in the earlier seasons, the trucker who was sitting at the bar stool, who the camera kept focusing in on, is Nikki Leotardo, Phil Leotardo's nephew. He was in one of the early season episodes where Phil and Tony have a sit down.

Here’s where the genius comes in....
When Tony's walking in the diner, you see the camera focus on him, it then switches to his perspective, and you see him looking at the booth he’s going sit at...
Then the camera switches back to Tony’s face, then it once again switches to his perspective, and it shows him looking at the door and looking at the people coming in. Everytime the door opens the Chimes sound.......
Carmela walks in, Chimes, AJ walks in, Chimes.
This is all while Meadow is parallel parking, still trying to get inside the restaurant. At this point the camera switches back to the trucker who goes in the bathroom.

Then it goes to a scene where Meadow finally parks and starts running in the diner. The door is about to open, Tony looks up....
and No Chimes......................
No Music............
Everything just goes black...............

In one of the early episodes of The Sopranos, Tony is talking with Bobby about what it must feel like to die. Bobby says "at the end, you probably don’t hear anything, everything & just goes black" Part of that was revisited in the second to last episode during the last seconds of the episode, when Tony is about to go to sleep and he flashes back to the memory of him and Bobby on the boat... "You probably don’t hear anything everything just goes black"

So in the end, the Journey song was playing, the chimes on the door sounded but when Meadow came in, the guy in the trucker hat came out and killed Tony...
That is the reason you don't hear, or see anything when he died.... it was from his perspective.... and everything went black, then the credits rolled.

I'm not sure if Tony was offed. I thought it less likely after I watched the finale again last night - or at least the closing scene.

The funny thing is that when I first watched the closing scene, it felt like it took 15 minutes, but after watching it again a second time, it took about 4 minutes.

I think the ending was just ambiguous, with any variety of scenarios possibly being played out.

That was my initial take. I thought with all the hype about it, they still found a way to keep you riveted for a whole hour not knowing what would happen and expecting the big hit at any moment. Then no judgement call at all from them, life goes on, business as usual.

I think this is one series that I'll buy and enjoy watching straight through.

Got your Tony right here for ya!!

I quit watching when they started using the Dr, Melphi (spelling?) / Tony thing as filler.

He was having PANIC ATTACKS8O8O. Jesus, I guess so. Why wouldn't he?? Nothing but a psychopathic thug in a $1500 suit. Maybe not. If he was a true psychopath, all the naughty things he (maybe did but you can't prove it) wouldn't bother him at all.

Maybe it was his mother. She's a case study in her own right.

Haven't seen the finale yet. Maybe someday.

I can wait.
