Scientology is the true faith. Pay your respects to the great Ron Hubbard, you infidel swines!

Write me a cheque for $10,000 and I will be happy to enlighten you.

Ok how is your faith "better" than anyone else's faith? Faith is just what you believe to be true. My truth and your truth may be different but neither is better...

My faith is based on what I believe to be true, and compare it to none other.
It says in the bible :Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

I hold and I stand on what I believe to be the most correct way of believing, and in this belief, I accept all souls as precious before God, and what He holds precious, I honor.

If then is the case, than I see no other theology that would even come close to being what my God is to all mankind.

So, how could I even condemn anybody else's beliefs when I could by action and word convey the love of God?
Love conquers all! The Godly type of love, for in it there is unmerited forgiveness.

Hey folks, talk to me about any religious thoughts or beliefs you have.
Perhaps, I may be persuaded, and then again, I may persuade you in the course of the discussion to a different point of view.
Which ever the case, lets talk.
Lets give it a starter question: Should society have some sort of religious guidance?
I mean is it ok for the president to be Catholic, protestant, Jew and or Muslim?
Should our rules and regulations be religiously based?

What say you?

Well I think the other thread about Jesus and his death struggles highlights how i feel . Religion has no place in a modren society we should have evolved past that years ago but most people fail to ask questions and truly open their minds .Ultimatley i put my stock in what i can see and can prove .God is a sham created by man to explain his own creation and give purpose in life to people too lazy and weak to find the purpose in their own lives . It truly upsets me how many lives are being wasted waiting for life after death when in truth this is all we have .

I recommend the following webpages good stuff to read :

As for a theist president i think that would be ok so long as he governs using wordly motivations and principles .
The law should NEVER be based on religion because people -even within the same religion - have diffrent interpetations and values and because of that church and state have no bussiness being in the same room together .

P.S The law should never discourage the private practice and beliefs of any religion in an private or religious community setting.

There are Churches everywhere. That they fail miserably to provide guidance to mankind is only a representation of the folly of dogma and organized religion.

Well, like the preacher said: (King Solomon)
Ecc 8:14 There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.
Ecc 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
Ecc 11:8 But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.
Ecc 11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
Ecc 12:8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

From all that, one would think that life is just a waste, for it seems that no matter what one thinks or does, all is vanity.
Which brings us to only one conclusion, and that is that there must be something other than this life where it all matters.
And God presents that other life as a spiritual awakening as a meaningful way to go.

For an example my life: I was born again at age 13. I mean by that is that I accepted Gods gift of life, and made my life and everything in it worth living, for I was satisfied in knowing and believing that after this life, I would receive the remainder of my new life begun here on earth.

Perhaps, you can tell by my writings, my tolerance, compassion for all individuals regardless of their beliefs?
For onces I was in the dark of knowledge and short of understanding, but now I see the light of Gods wisdom and gained understanding.

That's the great part of being in the United Church.

You can get away with pretty much anything.
Well...even if they told me otherwise, I wouldn't listen. The priest or...whatever the label is in the United Church...who presided over both my grandmother and cousins funeral was openly gay. I thought that was FANTASTIC. He did an amazing job, he was a nice guy, he was genuine, he was good at what he did. I respect the United Church for not shunning such a great person...a great messenger of the word of god (if it is indeed the word of god) like too many other denominations would do. That means alot to me, and shows the integrity of that church, and gives me faith that all religious observers are so...what's the word...closed minded...or...down right mean...or...what have you.
