Interesting to note the Fraser Institute's "average" Canadian family is at the TOP of the 80 to 90 decile.

I didn't realize the average tax rate for my income bracket in Ontario was a low as it is... I could be getting robbed a whole lot worse in other provinces it seems.

Not too bad in BC now that the Dippers aren't gov't anymore. (That still doesn't make me a fan of Campbull).

yeah

well

the Cons were racking it up in Manitoba while the Dips were at it in BC so cry me a river. :p

Australia
In Australia a couple of yrs back a new political party put forth an idea for an "ezytax" everyone, you, me, her, multi-nationals(who dont pay any tax) and corporations...some of who pay less than the average working man.......all pay 2%. Going on the australian gov figures, with the 2% across the board, they would have more funds..........

which is particularly odd in your case because for you it was rather level-headed. ;-)

While Canadians whine about paying so much tax, where is the rise to hold the tax-system accountable? Why do Canadians tolerate poor infrastucture development and repair...how often do you witness roads being re-paved year after years? How often do you hear about the mountains of waste generated by municipal provincial and federal governments? Setting aside the ourtright corruption and lies as the commonality found across government structures in the country why aren't Canadians holding their governments accountable?
