That's baloney. If there was no moral judgement, then why would they still bar them from serving openly? The commander in chief believes it too, as does much of the general population. It's the reason gay people in the US don't have the same rights as straight people. Clinton did what was practical with don't ask don't tell, not what was right or fair.
It seems to me, that "don't ask, don't tell" protects gay people, period. The military has to run smoothly and efficiently, without inner "problems", and I would think the "extreme aggressive males,"
would make the gay people "suffer", from cruel treatment toward them. The military doesn't need
that. It doesn't matter if any of us approve/dissaprove of the military and their actions in the world,
they still have to run their business in a successful manner.
The general's view is stupid IMO,
It is his "personal" opinion, he shouldn't have stated it, with his uniform on, and in a public setting.
I respect his right to have "any" opinion he wants, he "just" stated it in the wrong place.
