It's not called a pic-nic, for a reason.

There are three certainties in the heat of battle, or in areas of conflict. War is hell, shyte happens and good men die.

Get over it, I will morn the loss of another brother, bitching about who did what to who, where and what not, serves no one.

Je me souviens.

It's kinda a big crap shoot...the odds end up stacked against you....eventually with all those guns, all those soldiers, all those fighters, all those bullets...uhhhh...someone is going to get killed accidentally. It's the luck of the draw...it's the numbers game.

Oh really? Well it looks like you guys are picking up on that hobby as I don't see them blaming the US Military. That would tell me that it is a fellow Canadian that killed this soldier. I am sure it will be brushed under the rug because freindly fire is usually in conjunction with the US.
Actually, I'm thinking that because he may have been shot by a Canadian it will actually be investigated...:)

Investigated one hopes by Americans...

As an American you can bomb Canadians and Brits and the worst that happens is you get a book contract with DoubleDay and have to learn to actually speak English...

And when they find out that it was a Canadian they guilty Canadian will spend his life in prison? That is what Canada wanted for the US pilots.

Let's see if Canada can walk the walk.

The thing about this is that they know who did it. He was shot in his tent. My guess is that a Canadian soldier forgot to clear his weapon and it went off. If that is true that shows negligence. Accidental I agree. He didn't want it to happen but he made a mistake just like those USAF pilots.

Canada wanted no mercy for the US pilots... will they now show mercy to a Canadian soldier if he was the one who did it? Or will hypocricy prevail?

Ouch...speaking of scathing. Well, we will see....we will see where this goes. There was a great amount of anger over the killings of the soldiers by american pilots, indeed. I don't know what the tone is with this incident. It doesn't even sound like it has been figured out what exactly happened....but, knowing us Canadians, not alot of news stories happen up here, so this is going to be analyzed TO DEATH by the media, by the government, at Tim Hortons, in hockey rinks...it's the Canadian way!

I guess you realize now that regardless of the topic of the thread - a Canadian solider killed in action - morphed into yet another new Canadian team sport? Gang bullying. Go after the U.S.

Make sense?? To twelve year olds mebbe.

Well if anyone can demonstrate a twelve year old's mentality....

Thank you very much Mickey.... you are correct. I have reason to believe you are referencing me..

Ugliness is catching - and I have succumbed.

Some day I'll find out where the real Canadians are hiding out - certainly not here...

Can anyone provide some statistical evidence suggesting that Canadians or Brits or Romanians or Chileans or anyone other than Americans have killed more allies than Americans that would help clarify this issue....

It's widely accepted and acknowledged around the planet that America takes the gold when it comes to killing innocents in theaters of war....

Both during war and as prelude to war....Iraq is just one example but we don't have to look too far down the historical record to find lots of evidence supporting this observation...

Just give us a few facts that America doesn't justly deserve the criticism being offered...

Who controls the largest engine of mob-thinking in the world?

Canada and Canadians or America and Americans?

Who decided to forego international law and send its mob in pursuit of imaginary weapons of mass destruction that's increased terrorism and the climate of terrorism around the world?

Whom would that be do you think...?

I wouldn't be too sure about that. If he was killed by a US Soldier or plane the Canadian media would be bombarding the presses with articles and news reports.

Now that it has come out that he may have been killed by another Canadian I think it will be silently swept under the rug. I have found that Canadians make it a sport in bashing the US at every corner and freindly fire is a favorite.

Now that it appears that it has happened to one of their own at his "colleagues" hand they are saying it is under investigation. I love how they used collegue in that article as opposed to "another Canadian soldier".

Will Canada punish the soldier for his negligence? I doubt it.

The genocides in Africa (Rawanda, Somalia, Dafur, Uganda), Cambodia and the Khemar Rouge, Chechnya, Soviets in WW2 (before, during and after), Japanese in China.

Romans, Lombards, Mongol Hordes... shall we go on? Gauls, Goths, Persians, Huns.....

Forego International Law... do you mean like Canada's involvement in Yugoslavia in the 90's? That International Law?
