To answer your question, Jesus has come into my heart. When I die, my soul will fly away to meet Him in the air.
Meantime, the world continues.

Are you waiting forHim, I mean a physical return?

If you believe jesus has come into your heart then you've already met her, if jesus is everything then she's equaly female.

Oh, so I should define Jesus as male or female, well, neither. Plainly states in the bible that there are no male or females in heaven.

All I know is that He has established residence in my heart of which there is no gender definition there.

If that is the case you should follow the word as you have sworn to do and henceforth use the inclusive it or god and forget the exclusive jesus lest you alienate half the flock. As it is in heaven so shall it be---------------if there is no gender distinction in heaven why has it created in its own image a gender distinction in its garden? I think maybe you have less than a perfect understanding of a less than perfect book.

i think generally religious referrals to a genderless character such as god and/or jesus specify "He" rather than "It" or "She" because It is thought of as derogatory to speak of a sentient being as an "it" just as it's best not to call a baby "it" in front of its mother. So we could either use both pronouns every time "he/she" or we could choose one and use it for convenience's sake. which seems to be what happened. Anyway jesus appeared on Earth as an apparently male figure, which suggests a certain maleness to the trinity, or maybe He just knew that in those days He wouldn't be listened to as a woman.

lol. I can accept that. But, to me, fantasies are "it"s.

First, what have I sworn to do again? Second, I don't have a flock, and third, gender applies only to this fleshly existence and fourth, less than perfect understanding is always a goal one should to strive for.

Either an asteroid sized object will wipe out mankind or the sun will use up it's nuclear fuel, under go a change that results in an expansion of it's size to the point it engulfs the Earth.

Most other scenarios allow for some survivors to start things all over again for better or worse.

Technically the universe would have to end or begin to contract for the arrow of time to end or begin to run back to zero.

Looking back in time and at all the stories of humanity, there always seems to be some kind of wipe out, but notice that there is always a remnant ? Just as like you pointed out.

Based on that assumption, one would think that life will continue on whether a natural disaster or human would trigger it.

Religiously thinking, if I understand it correctly, the old world's human spiritual condition ended at the cross, and the new human spiritual condition started at the cross.

So the end times idea is long past but holds out as like a carrot before the horse for those who are weak in the faith. (Religiously speaking).

some disasters couldnt help but wipe us ALL out. You're correct in that there have been some big events in the past (ice ages, impacts and so on) and they've made a lot of life extinct (this is previous to human existance) and there's always been a remnant, but an asteroid sized impact couldnt help but wipe almost everything out, even a large meteorite would be enough, and a comet might well destroy 99% of all life, right down to the sulfur-eating bacteria on the sea bed. As for the sun using up its nuclear fuel, something else will happen first, i'm sure.

Chances are humanity will be extinct long before the sun goes out, that's at least several billion years away. Species don't last anywhere near that long, and civilizations last even less time. The average species lifetime for mammals is a few million years, and for civilizations--depending on how you define one-- seems to be around 400 years. But RSK has it right. Some massive, planet-disrupting catastrophe like a major collision is probable long before the sun dies, but the "best case" scenario (i.e. longest lived) is the the sun running out of hydrogen, swelling up into a red giant and engulfing the earth. That'll be the end of *this* world at least, some 3 to 4 billion years hence I think, if my memory of the estimates I've seen is correct.
