You what's funny Ton? I'm likely more of a Liberal then a Conservative, but I just hate get ass banged by someone that is supposed to work for me. Hence my loathing of the LPoC. I voted for them and they let me down, several times. So I have made it my mission to spank them every chance I get.
It just makes me laugh, that every time I start a "spank the Libby's" thread, I become some Conservative boogey man, and Mulroney gets dragged out of the bottle, for another round of beating a dead horse.
The continued blah blah blah, about Mulroney's debt creation, but convenient blindness to the mushrooming of government under PET, and the continued scandal ridden LPoC, under Cretien and Martin, just baffles me.
But this, this is an entirely different story, this is a dangerous game of bad optics and partisan politics. That very well could lead to serious consiquences down the road.
Mulroney is done and over with.

I wasn't alive during Trudeau.
And I don't know what his governance was like! All I know about him is from the history books.. and in my High School Social Studies, they talked about him like a God, the billingual act, the multiculturalism act, the Charter of Rights + Freedoms, our own constitution, and his commendable acts on the FLQ crisis.
So please enlighten me on him, because from reading History, he was the best PM in Canada EVER!
I am 24, and was 10 years old when chRETien, took office, and I was interested in politics at that age, so by the time of my teenage years, and more understanding, I came to dislike the LPoC. Chretien, made me hate the party.
Martin just re-affirmed my dislike for the LPoC... they are a far cry from the days of Trudeau.
The party has done a 180 in the last decade.

I swear to God, my textbooks and Social Studies classes throughout High School would NEVER critisize Trudeau, EVER!, the textbooks even had sentences like "A great majority of Canadians believed Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau was the best PM to take office in the history of the nation"
And sentences like "Trudeau showed great digilence through his efforts in the FLQ crisis, throughout his term he filled the void between French and English Candians, and bringing us the great respected Multiculuralism Act, that allowed future generations of immigrants to bring their culture and practise it in this nation"
I actually looked up the textbooks.
And my History teacher, My God, he preached about the Liberals, Mr C. lectured us on the Liberal party and its great values, I had the great luck of taking his History course in High School during an election...

Of this, I have no doubt west. I hear about it all the time, my kids are still in school.
It reminds me alot of the heady days of the Camir Rouge and how they used the children against their parents.
