and lets not forget the $1.75 a vote annual stipend. so yes. collective support.

I do know I get a good tax break on my donations, as do contributors to all political parties.

I started giving to Reform.......which performed the political miracle it did with tiny donations from the little guy........unlike ANY other party.

At my income I don't give much.....2 or 3 hundred a year.

And I am no fan of forced donations through my taxes to corrupt Liberal scum and Bloq traitors..........

I'd rather give to the idiots of the NDP.

With the opportunity cost you haven't commented on and the direct stipend you have, both being forms of collective financial support, the reason for your assessing the unlikelihood of my being "a fellow contributor to the Conservative Party of Canada" was WHAT, exactly?

That is correct.

The anti-Dion ads are paid for by the Conservative Party of Canada, who have been on a real fund-raising drive to pay for them.

I helped.

So I guess you can blame me.

:)
I guess Shawn Graham isn't one of your favourite people than....

perhaps I should have preceeded the accusation with the word "voluntary", as in "I doubt you are a voluntary fellow contributor to the CPC".

Take a valium, BW, relax, kick back a bit, it ain't worth high blood pressure.

I'd say 95% is rather high. My first guess would put it probably more in the order of 40-50% of their warchest is funded publicly by way of tax relief (well phrased!) to their contributors and direct stipend.

So what? It is still there money to spend as they see fit.

I don't agree with pre-election campaign ads but last time I checked this was a free country.

I do believe temperance expressed one point of view regarding "so what?" in the opening post.
