mabudon- A good and legitimate question! The answer to why Israel is being portrayed to be in the right is because the other side needs to be portrayed to be wrong. U.S./Zionist aggression in the M.E. requirees sympathy for Israel and that should give you a clue as to why the situation never changes.

And here's another obvious truth: The Zionist state needs the Palestinians' land for it's expansionist plans. To not see that as true is similar to not seeing that the emperor has no clothes.

Yes, there is blame on both sides but the solution is clear, it is to abide by UNSC resolutions demanding two states living side by side. If one is in agreement with that kind of settlement then there is no longer any need for confusion on the issue. If one is not in agreement with the U.N. then indeed Israel is the victor and is in the right to take the land from the Palestinians for it's expansion of Israel. If you are with the latter then you need to also realize that the price will be continuous war because the Palestinian people are resolved in their fight. Perhaps the price the Israelis pay is worth it to them, simply because they understand that it is ordained to be their land by the bible.

I hope that has taken some of the mystery out of it for you.

Israeli Hospital Treats Wounded Palestinians
By Julie Stahl
CNSNews.com Jerusalem Bureau Chief
February 09, 2007

Ashkelon, Israel (CNSNews.com) - Despite the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel continues to treat Palestinians in its medical system, including an Israeli hospital in this southern coastal city that is helping those wounded in recent internecine fighting in the Gaza Strip.

.........

That's not ver genocidal, but hey, as I've said many many times before, don't let reality cloud your judgement!
Boy, that sort of practise is gonna make extermination of Palestine a bit tough, isn't it?

Balance would be arming the Palistinians to the same level as the Israelis, what could be more balanced than that. If they had Apaches they wouldn't have to carry the bombs on thier backs would they.
You let your political ideology dictate your biases and alliegences, that is a shame, it is a waste of a rather sharp mind.

What is really a comic farce, is the idea that Egypt, Jordan, Syria, could even begin to drive Israel into the sea. Israel has roughly the fourth largest military in the world, without including the U.S. Naval fleet off shore. All the other countries in the M.E. combined, would have trouble making tenth. Every Israeli Prime Minister has agreed that they want it all, from David Ben Gurion onward.

Ethnic cleansing of the Arab population of Palestine
"Joseph Weitz was the director of the Jewish National Land Fund...On December 19, 1940, he wrote: 'It must be clear that there is no room for both peoples in this country...The Zionist enterprise so far...has been fine and good in its own time, and could do with 'land buying' - but this will not bring about the State of Israel; that must come all at once, in the manner of a Salvation (this is the secret of the Messianic idea); and there is no way besides transferring the Arabs from here to the neighboring countries, to transfer them all; except maybe for Bethlehem, Nazareth and Old Jerusalem, we must not leave a single village, not a single tribe'...There were literally hundreds of such statements made by Zionists." Edward Said, "The Question of Palestine."

I normally wouldn't answer drivel like this, but I did nothing but quote a Jewish website that has been around for years. If you want to refute it, let's hear it. Never mind the stupid inuendo that what I quoted was somehow illegal.

Gotcha on the defensive have I Juan??? Hit a sour note did I???

Well I would apologize but I get sick of hearing you describe my posts as "drivel". At least I try to continue an exercise of friendship not divisive nastiness.....

Really should try to resolve your "feelings" against the Jews of the world Juan.

I trust you feel responsible enough for Andem's forum.

Well I did go back and read your post again and I see what you meant. You say that the recently strarted upswing in pro Isreali agitprop articles is perhaps some attempt to address the anti-Israeli message.I don't think the anti-Israeli stuff is unfair at all. The Israelis have had all the cards, for a very long time.

Even those of us thousands of miles away can't stop from bickering about the situation... I can only imagine what it would be like to live there.

When I saw the title of the article, my first response was "Yeah... duh". Hospital workers treat whoever comes in the door, even if we don't agree with their politics or their behavior. That's the job. If I didn't want to care for patients who did bad things, I'd quickly find myself unemployed. In the end, one thing that we have in common is our basic physical needs.
