do you think his wife stands a chance of winning as their next president?

I don't know, it's possible. If I was a betting man, I would probably bet McCain will be the next President....but what do I know.

Bush wasn't elected by the Supreme Court. If you're going to throw a jab, know what you're talking about.

It was the Supreme Court who ended the recount in Florida (which was of course the key to victory) and voted against a recount. Since we don't know for certain who would have won if a recount had taken place (though I will concede it is likely Bush would have won anyways), essentially the 5-4 vote in the Supreme Court is what gave Bush the victory.

I will even grant you the first 2, I don't know enough to accept or reject numbers 3 and four, but will grant you them by way of default.............which changes not a whit what a complete scumbag he was, and is.

However, preventing war in Korea in 1994, by making wonderful deals which the North Koreans immediately broke, simply gave them time to build nuclear weapons. A massive failure that, no success.

I am no huge fan of George W. either.

I personally think Presidents should be forced to actually READ the Constitution they are sworn to "uphold and defend". I know more about the US Constitution than either Bush or Clinton, I promise you that.

And I'm a Canadian.......

IMHO your only hope in 2008 is John McCain.

I'm rooting for McCain as well Colpy, he shows the most promise to totally phuckup the empire.:laughing7:

I've been accused of spamming on this forum before for re-posting certain links. One issue that I have repeated is my earlier posts of Professor Ben Ferencz's comments on Bush's violations. Ferencz invented the Nuremburg doctrine, continues to teach at Pace Law School in NYC, and said that Bush should be tried under that law. Other legal scholars have said the same thing.

True, the controlled right wing media has refused to touch the subject. But it has been discussed repeatedly and I have spared no effort to discuss it previously.

If you wish I can send you links via PM so that no one else will be accusing me again of spamming.

Comrade Gopher, could you send me the links.

You wouldn't consider a contender that might right some of the US's wrongs would you? That would leave you with a pretty stale show...

Yes I would, but, since no such contender can get through the Corporate Security Complex selection criteria I am unlikely to have to make such a consideration, my show will remain vibrant, colourful and alive.:laughing7::wave::laughing7:

Nonsense, there was an automatic recount. Bush was leading Gore by just over 1000 votes out of 6 million votes cast. The automatic recount conculded Bush led again. Gore asked for a second manual recount. Bush refused. The Florida Supreme Court granted the second manual recount. Then Gore wanted yet ANOTHER recount. The Supreme court basically said, GET OVER IT, YOU LOST.

ITN

I think you should concentrate on Madeline Albright as your VP - that way you can concentrate on your work!!!

Spoil sport!!:laughing7:

1. American History always attributes good and bad to the President.
Ever hear of Congress getting the glory ? The Newt Gingrich congress was big on
fixing deficit spending. This is what disgusts Republican voters about the recent
Republican Congress who turned into the all-time Pork Spending Congress.

2. The surplus was created how ? By the President ? By the Congress ??
Give me a break. Most things in the American economy happen in spite of whatever government
does.

Republicans wasted no time in condemning Clinton for a tax increase which was used to end their deficit. Moreover, the GOP glories in attributing tax increases and welfare costs to the Dems. When something good happens the GOP takes credit. When something bad happens they blame Democrats.

Yet, the record is there. The USA economy flourished under Clinton and we had the biggest middle class increase in history. When the pukes take over, poverty increases.

Don;t believe it? Look it up.
