Good news, citizens! Through the brilliance, courage, and benevolence of President Trump, the nationwide average price of gasoline dropped to $4.48 per gallon, down 87,000% since the interregnum of Dictator Biden, when millions of White women were raped every day and illegal dark people terrorized the streets!

Yeah…we get the same horse shit up here from Carney as he moves numbers around in the columns, then claims that his deficits are lower than Trudeau (some of them) in the smoke and mirrors. We ‘really’ haven’t had a balanced budget in over a decade, but it is what it is.

Actually, that was the last balanced budget in Canada federally in 2015 in the spring. By fall of 2015…not so much.
And all those scientists that were muzzled under non disclosure are still under non disclosure , imagine that .

Cuba normally relies on Venezuela and Mexico to supply oil to its refinery system. However, the two countries have largely cut off supplies since US President Donald Trump threatened tariffs on countries that send fuel to Cuba months ago now.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel blamed the US for the energy shortages as he acknowledged the "particularly tense" situation across the island.

"This dramatic worsening has a single cause: the genocidal energy blockade to which the United States subjects our country, threatening irrational tariffs against any nation that supplies us with fuel," he wrote.

Last week, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Havana had rejected a US offer of humanitarian aid worth $100m (£74m), a claim Cuba denied.

The US State Department repeated its offer on Wednesday, saying the humanitarian assistance would be distributed in coordination with the Catholic Church and "reliable" humanitarian organisations.

It continued: "The decision rests with the Cuban regime to accept our offer of assistance or deny critical living-saving aid and ultimately be accountable to the Cuban people for standing in the way of critical assistance."

The US this week reiterated its offer of sending $100m (£74m) in aid to the country in exchange for "meaningful reforms to Cuba's communist system".

“Nice island nation you’ve got there. Be a shame if it’s starved into submission, etc…& for the low low price of it’s sovereignty and independence, it doesn’t have to.” Early 19th century relations centered mainly on extensive trade, before manifest destinyincreasingly led to an American desire to buy, conquer, or control Cuba.

Intelligence-gathering, surveillance and reconnaissance activities on the island — along with the recent inauguration of an unmanned warfare command conducting exercises in Florida, sanctions against the military and explicit statements by Trump — indicate that the fall of Cuba is drawing ever closer.

“Trump’s threat to block the Gordie Howe International Bridge is a spit in the face to Detroiters who have been patiently awaiting its opening,” said Rep. Shri Thanedar. “Thanks to the incredible diplomacy of President Obama, Canada paid the entire cost of the bridge, all while supporting American workers by hiring them to work on its construction and using American steel to build it. We were getting a bridge at no cost to us, but Trump is recklessly threatening to throw all of that away for no other reason than to inflict pain on Michiganders and Canadians alike.”

This is from 30 years ago, but it’s just coming up now?

Because…the extraordinary indictment, which was returned by a grand jury in April and had been kept under seal, comes as the Trump administration has ratcheted up pressure to try to force political turnover in communist Cuba, and it is the latest example of the administration using its Justice Department to bolster foreign policy aims? So…?

I’m sure as hell not justifying murder, but the timing is just curious. Top Justice Department officials announced the indictment Wednesday in Miami, the heart of the Cuban exile community because…?

Castro, 94, took over the presidency of Cuba when his brother, Fidel Castro, stepped down in 2008, and it’s a decade too late to charge Fidel who died in 2016, so Raúl three decades after the fact, now that it’s politically expedient to do so, will have to do?

With Fidel’s death in 2016, Raúl Castro became the island’s preeminent revolutionary hero. Although he left the presidency in 2018, Castro remained first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba until 2021, and now its 2026. Back in 1996 though, Raúl Castro was Cuba's armed forces minister.

It is unlikely that Castro will be extradited to the U.S. to appear in court and face the charges. Absent Cuba’s cooperation, the indictment is likely to remain symbolic unless the U.S. takes aggressive action to remove Castro from Cuba😉.

Acting attorney general Todd Blanche said that the indictment was more than just a gesture, adding that he expected Castro to appear in U.S. court. He deflected questions about whether there would be military intervention to bring him out of Cuba🤔.

We expect that he will show up here by his own will or another way,” Blanche said. Dude is 94yrs old. Doubt he’s planning a trip to an American show trial.

The downed planes were flown by members of Brothers to the Rescue, a U.S.-based humanitarian group formed in 1991 by Cuban exiles in Miami to patrol the Florida Strait in search of those fleeing the island and notify the U.S. Coast Guard to rescue them.

The group was founded by Jose Basulto, a veteran of the failed 1961 invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs by exile fighters organized and trained by the CIA. There had been a massive exodus of tens of thousands of Cubans traveling to Florida on small boats, rafts and inner tubes in the early 1990s, though the number dropped after the Clinton administration in 1994 ordered the Coast Guard to intercept and detain those caught at sea🙄.
The group’s interests also came to include harassing the Cuban government, sometimes flying over Cuban airspace and dropping leaflets urging residents to rise against the regime. Their campaigns had led to numerous complaints from Havana and assurances from the Clinton administration that it would stop.
Google AI says that ‘Brothers to the Rescue’ did not enter Cuban airspace on February 24, 1996.

According to U.S. authorities and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) investigation, the unarmed Cessna planes were flying over international waters when they were intercepted and shot down by Cuban MiG fighter jets.

Where over international waters? The first plane was apparently destroyed 9 nautical miles outside Cuban territorial airspace, and the second was shot down apparently 10 nautical miles outside it, it says. So were they on the way to Cuba or away from it? Does it matter in the end?

The Cuban government has consistently maintained that the planes had previously violated Cuban airspace and were in the country's airspace when they were intercepted and warned, but in the end, does that matter either?

(YouTube & Trump Is Coming For Cuba)

Cuba has never formally declared war or launched a conventional military attack against the United States. America has engaged in military attacks, armed interventions, and direct invasions of Cuba multiple times. Who’s a threat to whom?

(President John F. Kennedy and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev publicly agreed that the USSR would dismantle and remove its offensive missile sites in Cuba under United Nations verification. In return, the US made a public declaration and commitment never to invade Cuba🤫)
  • The Spanish-American War (1898): U.S. forces landed in Cuba, defeated the Spanish fleet at Santiago de Cuba, and initiated a military occupation that lasted until 1902.
  • The First Occupation (1906–1909): The U.S. sent thousands of Marines to intervene in Cuban political affairs and quell internal rebellions.
  • Subsequent Interventions (1912 and 1917–1922): U.S. Marines were repeatedly deployed and engaged in armed interventions to stabilize internal affairs and protect American business interests.
  • The Bay of Pigs Invasion (1961): A CIA-funded and directed paramilitary group of Cuban exiles launched a failed amphibious attack to overthrow Fidel Castro's government.
Has Cuba indicted Trump or his secretary of war with respect to the above?🙄Should they?

Raul? The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and its accompanying warships entered the Caribbean Sea Wednesday as part of an apparent effort by the Trump administration to apply pressure on Cuba from all directions.

“Welcome to the Caribbean, Nimitz Carrier Strike Group!” US Southern Command posted on X.

The strike group includes the Nimitz aircraft carrier, its air wing – F/A-18 Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers, E-2D Hawkeyes, C-2A Greyhounds and MH-60R/S Sea Hawks – the USS Gridley destroyer and the USNS Patuxent replenishment oiler.

US Southern Command touted the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group as “the epitome of readiness and presence, unmatched reach and lethality, and strategic advantage.”
1779424148674.jpeg
In what appears to be a carefully calibrated show of force, the U.S deployed the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and its accompanying strike group into Caribbean waters this week, a move that coincided with the unsealing of murder charges against former Cuban leader Raúl Castro (probably just a coincidence though) on Wednesday and an intensifying pressure campaign by the Trump administration against Havana.

May 20th marks the end of U.S. occupation and the birth of the Republic of Cuba in 1902. This date is widely celebrated in the Cuban diaspora (especially in Miami) but is largely ignored by the current government on the island due to its historical ties to U.S. intervention…but this is probably just a coincidence.

Former Cuban President Raúl Castro was indicted by a U.S. federal grand jury, with the indictment officially unsealed on May 20, 2026, but that’s also probably just a coincidence.

The U.S. carrier strike group deployment came the same day the U.S. Justice Department unsealed an indictment charging Castro (which is probably just a coincidence) and several other officials with murder and conspiracy in connection with the 1996 shoot-down of two civilian aircraft operated by the Miami-based humanitarian group Brothers to the Rescue.

Havana condemned the indictment against Castro as a “despicable accusation” and accused Washington of using the charges as a pretext for possible military action. The naval buildup is similar to the one that took place near Venezuela (but that’s probably just a coincidence) in late 2025. That ended when U.S. special forces seized Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on Jan. 3.

The Nimitz and its ships are joining four other U.S. warships in the region, including the USS Iwo Jima, an amphibious assault ship that was used to transport Maduro to New York.

President Donald Trump said he doesn't anticipate further U.S.-Cuba "escalation." But the relationship between what Trump says and does − by his own admission − is not always clear. On May 21, Trump said deploying an aircraft carrier to the Caribbean is not meant as intimidation and framed U.S. intentions as humanitarian: “We’re going to help them along.” (???)

For many months, the U.S. has enforced a blockade that stops Venezuelan and Mexican oil shipments from reaching Cuba. Factories have gone idle. Public transportation sputters. Long lines for basic goods stretch through Havana. Blackouts are commonplace. President Miguel Díaz-Canel described the U.S. sanctions as “collective punishment” on the Cuban people.
1779639638889.jpeg
The largest foreign mining operation in Cuba is the Moa Joint Venture, which is a massive nickel and cobalt mining operation. The country and nationality of this operation are Canadian, primarily operated by the Toronto-based resource company Sherritt International.🙄

A U.S. presidential decree imposed new sanctions on companies doing business with the regime, significantly expanding the comprehensive embargo and making it akin to those aimed at countries such as Iran, Russia, and North Korea.🙄

Within a week, Sherritt said that it would dissolve its partnership with the state-owned General Nickel Company, ending the Moa Nickel joint venture and other interests in electricity generation and natural gas.😳

Then, last week, Sherritt announced it would only suspend its joint venture in Cuba and was in talks to sell a controlling ownership stake in Sherritt to Gillon Capital, with the apparent blessing of the U.S. State and Treasury Departments.🤔 Gillon is a Dallas-based firm that belongs to the family of Ray Washburne, a real-estate executive who served in the first Trump administration; neither firm responded to a request for comment.🤔

Such a deal, if it goes through, could potentially bring the saga of Cuba’s mineral riches full circle by returning nickel and cobalt mines to U.S. ownership at a time when they have acquired a new strategic importance.🤔

Such a deal might also pave the way for other American businesses; Trump is enamored of the opportunities a pliant Cuba could offer domestic businesses, several U.S. officials told me, much as it did in the Fulgencio Batista era, leading up to the 1959 revolution.

The Bay of Pigs happened in April 1961 when the U.S. government financed and directed a failed invasion of Cuba by 1,500 CIA-trained Cuban exiles. The primary goal was to overthrow Fidel Castro’s communist government, stop the spread of Soviet influence in Latin America, and install a U.S.-friendly administration.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was caused by the secret Soviet deployment of nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962. Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev orchestrated this move to deter future U.S. invasions of communist Cuba—following the failed Bay of Pigs invasion—and to counterbalance the U.S. missiles previously stationed in Italy and Turkey.
1779640792938.jpegAnyway, Cobalt and Nickel minerals are used in manufacturing, including of cellphones and car batteries, and both help explain why the Trump administration is eager to bring Cuba to heel, one way or another. Trump has not been seeking to normalize relations with the post-Castro regime so much as force a conditional surrender.
The Trump administration blew up a Canadian company’s business in order to tighten the screws on the regime. But Cuba may be tempted to respond by offering shares in one of its crown jewels to an ally, or at least threatening to do so.

“This is a good chance for China and Russia to step back in,” Diego von Vacano, a political-science professor and Latin America specialist at Texas A&M University, told me.
1779641397818.jpegIn that case, the Trump administration might find that its drive to humble a tiny nearby regime hands further advantage to its chief adversaries in a much bigger, more important battle, but at least the evil Canadians are out.
