  • Ayatolla Alireza Arafi [Dead]
  • Mahmoud Ahmadinejad [Dead]
It is particularly nice to see Ahmadiinejad dead, he was the President who stepped up hanging gays.

Who is the American funded aggressor?

7 countries attacked in one year by whom?

Which seven countries? Are any of them shown on the above map?

The U.S.-Israeli air war against Iran expanded on Monday with no end in sight, engulfing Lebanon with Israel responding to strikes by Hezbollah, while Tehran fired missiles and drones at Israel, Gulf states and a British air base in far-away Cyprus.

Video images showed a U.S. warplane falling out of the sky over Kuwait early on Monday, while a person could be seen parachuting. The location was verified by Reuters as filmed in the Al Jahra area of Kuwait. Kuwait's defence ministry said several American aircraft had crashed and all crew were safe.
After a weekend of bombing that killed Iran's supreme leader, dragged its neighbours into war and shut shipping traffic in the Gulf, markets opened on Monday with energy prices rising sharply, putting the global economic recovery at risk.
Washington's allies in the Gulf have come under attack from Iranian missiles and drones. Black smoke rose above the area around the U.S. embassy in Kuwait, where there was a heavy presence of security, ambulances and fire trucks. There were loud blasts in Dubai and Samha in the UAE, and in Doha, capital of Qatar.

In the first strike to reach U.S. allies in Europe, a drone hit Britain's Akrotiri air base in Cyprus overnight. Britain and Cyprus said the damage was limited and there were no casualties. European allies have so far distanced themselves from Trump's decision to go to war, which Britain, France and others say fell short of the legal threshold of combating an imminent threat.

In interviews on Sunday, Trump said the campaign “could” last four weeks. A senior White House official told Reuters that Washington would at some point talk with Tehran's leaders, but not yet.

An extended military campaign could pose a major political risk for Trump's Republican Party ahead of U.S. midterm elections. Only around one in four Americans approve of the operation, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll on Sunday.

In a video posted on Sunday, Trump vowed military strikes on Iran would continue until "all our objectives are achieved" without providing specifics.
Meanwhile, the interruption to oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz - where around a fifth of the world's oil trade passes along the Iranian coast - was a sudden jolt to global economies. Oil prices leapt by double-digit percentages when trade opened on Monday. Shares fell and the dollar surged.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Sunday they had hit three U.S. and UK oil tankers in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz and attacked military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain with drones and missiles. Shipping data showed hundreds of vessels including oil and gas tankers dropping anchor in nearby waters.

Global air travel was also heavily disrupted as air strikes kept major Middle Eastern airports closed, including Dubai, the world's busiest international hub.

In a televised address to the nation, Macron said that action needed to be taken with the Straits of Hormuz closed and the Suez Canal and Red Sea shipping routes threatened by the widening conflict.

"We have economic interests to protect, because oil prices, gas prices and the international trade situation are being profoundly disrupted by this war.," Macron said.
"We have defense ‌agreements that bind us to Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. The latter are particularly targeted, and we owe them solidarity," Macron said.

Macron said Iran itself "bears primary responsibility" for the U.S.-Israeli action, but added: "the United States of America and Israel have decided to launch military operations; they were conducted outside international law, which we cannot approve."

Iran has been in the news a lot lately, trying to “not” have violence spread into a larger Middle Eastern conflict, while spreading violence in the region into a larger Middle Eastern conflict…or at least it sure seems like it from the outside looking in.
This above is the first paragraph in this thread from the opening post way back whenever it started….

"All the red lines have already been crossed," said Qatar's foreign ministry spokesman Majed al Ansari at a press briefing on Tuesday.

"The attacks on our sovereignty are constant," he told journalists.

"There are attacks on infrastructure. There are attacks on our residential areas. And the effects of these attacks are very clear. When it comes to possible retaliation, all options are with our leadership. But we have to make it very clear that attacks like these will not go unanswered and cannot go unanswered."

Mostly the Iranian missiles are being intercepted across the region, but falling debris has started fires and killed people. Drones that are more easily able to get through air defences often cause minimal damage but still sow chaos that disrupts trade and travel.

That seems to be the Iranian strategy – to raise the stakes for its Arab neighbours in hopes they will increase pressure on the US to end the war. The region's vital oil and gas industry could be weaponised by Iran – disrupting it could send shockwaves through the global economy. That also means Tehran's strategy could backfire. Iran risks pushing Gulf states closer to Washington, even having them join the war effort in some form.

So far, they've refused to let the US use their skies and territory to launch strikes on Iran. That could change. At some point, they might decide to participate in military operations. They're not there yet – for now the Arabs are focused on defence. But much depends on how long the war goes on.
Give me a reason to like them.
Some would be reluctant to appear to be taking Israel's side in the conflict. What's clear is that Iran's attacks have strengthened unity among the Gulf states, the non-Iranian Gulf states anyway.
The six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Oman – met in emergency session on Sunday to express solidarity and pledge to "take all necessary measures to defend their security and stability and to protect their territories, citizens, and residents, including the option of responding to the aggression."
