It is impossible to murder something that isn't born.
Is a C-Section normal birth ? How can a fully functioning baby be pulled out that way ? And when is it viable out of the womb ?

yYou are barking up the wrong tree on this issue in my opinion .

My position is always that the right to choose ends once the baby is viable outside the womb. C-section at 20 weeks does not yield a viable baby.

I had a brother born prematurely, he spent the first two or three months in an incubator.
Yes, but he survived. And he was more than likely post-22 weeks.

The 22 weeks is based upon what I have heard. I am sure as medical technology gets better that number may get lower. My point is that it is my opinion that that threshold is the point where the choice to abort should be limited. I am aware that this is not the case in law right now at least in Canada. I was just stating what my opinion of what the law should be.

I don’t really know how premature he was born . As for the rest am not proposing anything that is parliaments job and they are to scared to touch it with a ten foot pole . I do not think abortion is healthy for society.

I'm against reasons of vanity but have no issues with health or rape. Even Catholics consider a rape conception a continuation of the crime and endorse termination.

Baby delivered from brain-dead woman on life support in Georgia

ATLANTA — The baby of a woman in Georgia who was declared brain dead and has been on life support since February was delivered early Friday morning, her mother said.

April Newkirk told WXIA-TV that 31-year-old Adriana Smith’s baby was born prematurely by an emergency cesarean section early Friday, the Atlanta station reported Monday night. She was about six months into her pregnancy. The baby, named Chance, weighs about 1 pound and 13 ounces and is in the neonatal intensive care unit.

“He’s expected to be OK,” Newkirk told the TV station. “He’s just fighting. We just want prayers for him.”

Newkirk said her daughter had intense headaches more than four months ago and went to Atlanta’s Northside Hospital, where she received medication and was released. The next morning, her boyfriend woke to her gasping for air and called 911. Emory University Hospital determined she had blood clots in her brain and she was declared brain-dead. She was eight weeks pregnant, according to WXIA.

Newkirk said Smith would be taken off of life support Tuesday.

The Associated Press reached called and emailed Emory Tuesday for comment. It is unclear why Emory decided to deliver the baby. The Associated Press has also tried to contact Newkirk.

Smith’s family said Emory doctors told them they were not allowed to remove the devices keeping her breathing because state law bans abortion after cardiac activity can be detected — generally around six weeks into pregnancy.

Georgia Republican Attorney General Chris Carr later issued a statement saying the law did not require medical professionals to keep a woman declared brain dead on life support.

“Removing life support is not an action ‘with the purpose to terminate a pregnancy,”‘ Carr said.

Newkirk said Smith loved being a nurse at Emory. She also has a 7-year-old son. Her family celebrated her 31st birthday Sunday with several advocacy groups. Newkirk did not speak at the event.

“I’m her mother,” Newkirk told WXIA. “I shouldn’t be burying my daughter. My daughter should be burying me.”

The entire situation is absolutely disgusting really.

Forced carrying of a fetus from a cadaver.
Forcing the family to now PAY not only for their daughter's bills regardless that she was dead, but now pay for the bills for the child both now that he's been retrieved too early, but also after if there are any lasting issues.

This was NEVER about "protecting the unborn", this was about control of women. Period.

Doctors will routinely try to save the baby if the woman is hopeless, or even already dead (very short time window, obviously).

The disgusting part about this is making about the political bullshit. The rule for medicine should always default to saving whomever possible, unless the patient has clearly refused treatment.
