On that note I had to check and see if Rosemary Barton wrote this next article in her role as unbiased government funded media defending us all from misinformation & disinformation, etc…
CBC? Bite me. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre delivered mixed results in Monday's election — boosting his party's vote share to a generational high with breakthroughs among new voting blocs, while at the same time failing to unseat Mark Carney (with his running mate & tag team partner Donald Trump) and the Liberals from government and losing his own seat on a ballot with 91 candidates on it…in some protest against Justin Trudeau’s failed election campaign promises from 2015?

(How many candidates were on the ballot in Nepean? I’m going to guess it wasn’t 91)

At a time when Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives were promising to eliminate CBC funding (or at least cut it dramatically), Carney insisted a cut to the CBC budget was “an attack on our Canadian identity.” (If you could see me as I write that, I am making a gagging reflex while pointing two fingers down my throat.)
The CBC already has a hyper-inflated view of its own importance. Once it insisted that were it made to disclose to Parliament the salaries it paid, that act would weaken Canadian democracy.

Former CBC president Catherine Tait referred to the broadcaster as “a beacon of truth,” and implied it was so unbiased it should be the role model for fact-checking other media outlets.

The CBC doesn’t need the prime minister blowing sunshine to swell their heads further. As if there were any doubt of the ultra-cozy relationship between the federal Liberals and their in-house broadcaster, the CBC, it was reinforced Friday morning.

The online news site, Blacklock’s Reporter, revealed that Heritage Minister Stephen Guilbeault has been sitting on a new report on funding the Crown corporation and updating its mandate since late May. And the controversial former environment minister intends to keep sitting on it at least until after the federal budget is tabled (presumably in October) and maybe until after the 2026 budget, even though the report allegedly outlines how the CBC intends to use the extra $150 million promised by the Liberals during April’s election.

After all, it’s only taxpayers’ money. And why should we peasants expect any accountability?

Going by his statements during the spring election, Prime Minister Mark Carney is a huge fan of the CBC.

Carney actually called it “the most important of Canadian institutions.” Above Parliament? The courts? His old Bank of Canada? Carney has also promised to make the CBC’s funding “statutory,” meaning in future it could not be changed in the annual budget. Only an act of Parliament could reduce it.

Is it any wonder why the CBC is so biased in favour of the Liberals? It’s mutual back patting.

Why not? If Brits have a problem with bacon, I never heard of it.

Now you have. Dude said it once, at a proposed place where a mosque will eventually be built (but hasn’t been built yet?) and immediately arrested.

Yet they do nothing with immigrants, specifically Paki's from raping women & girls. We now know what the government's priorities are - arresting white people making silly noises. You can't make this crap up!!
