???

Big question, if true, is “Then what?”
The prime minister has had three weeks since Chrystia Freeland resigned as finance minister to “reflect.”

If speculation is correct, he may well announce plans to resign this week, possibly as early as Monday.

Or will he prorogue Parliament? And if so will it be allowed? Will there be a court challenge?

Will he remain as interim leader while a replacement is found?

Will the opposition parties who have vowed to bring him down ever get a chance to put forward a non-confidence motion?

Does any interim leader have a mandate to continue?

Do the people get a voice?
What an unmitigated mess, what a rolling disaster, what an unholy, odious, contemptible way to treat a country.

Yeah, celebrating the removal of a far-left douchebag must really stick in your craw, eh?
Serryah isn’t a fan of Trudeau either. If anyone thinks Trudeau shouldn’t take a walk into the surf, or that we shouldn’t have an immediate snap election, this should convince even hard core Liberals:

May says Canada needs to have a unified position of strength. Something like this?
1736142883125.jpeg

The Green leader argued Canada has "ten provinces, three territories [and] five different parties in Parliament" that can work together to address Trump's promise to slap a 25 per cent tariff on goods entering the U.S. from Canada…like this?

Trudeau & the Libs are a literal dumpster fire, & every time Justin opens his mouth, Canada is in a worse and worst position. Trump doesn’t respect him. Americans don’t respect him. Most of the rest of the world doesn’t respect him. Canadians don’t respect him. Currently even the liberal party doesn’t respect or want him.

Yeah, the above is a case in point, & this screenshot is from Australia quoting CNN:
1736163746166.jpeg
90% of YouTube about this are *LIVE* looping cycles of 9 years of Trudeau’s gaffs & scandals from news services out of India right now. From the outside looking in, lots of repeat about Trudeau honouring a Nazi in Parliament who fought against Russia in WW2 when Russia was our ally at that time, etc…

Sources stressed that they don’t know definitely when Mr. Trudeau will announce his plans to leave but said they expect it will happen before a key national caucus meeting on Wednesday. The Globe and Mail is not identifying the sources because they were “officially unofficially” not authorized to discuss internal party matters, etc…standard authorized “unauthorized” Liberal media release.

One of the sources, who spoke recently to the Prime Minister, said Mr. Trudeau realizes he needs to make a statement before he meets the Liberal caucus so it doesn’t “look” like he was forced out by his own MPs…because it might…harm his future political career or something?
The three sources said they are unsure about what the Liberal Party national executive plans to do to replace Mr. Trudeau as leader. They said it remains unclear whether he will leave immediately or stay on as Prime Minister until a new leader is selected. The Liberal Party national executive, which decides on leadership issues, plans to meet this week, likely after the caucus session.

On Friday, The Globe reported that Mr. Trudeau’s advisers are looking at how he can remain Prime Minister while a new Liberal leader is selected. A fourth source said on Sunday they believed that Mr. Trudeau would stay in his position until a new leader was chosen. The Globe is not naming the source, who was not authorized to discuss the private deliberations.

However, several MPs have expressed a preference for an interim leader, including Alberta Liberal George Chahal. He wrote a letter to his caucus colleagues with that request last week.

(As one of only two-ish Liberals elected in Alberta Chahal was considered as a possible cabinet contender. However he was passed over in favour of Edmonton MP(‘s?) Randy Boissonnault, other Randy, Indigenous Randy, Métis Randy, & Cocaine Randy…who was named the minister of tourism and associate minister of finance…& we know how that turned out)

Liz May doesn't feel it is time for an election if you can believe that. She must still think she is Margaret Thatcher.

I guess if anything the Conservatives are going to win enough seats they will not have to cater to the Bloc and NDP for votes. Still would be better if the west had it's own representation and drew a little respect once in a while. Someone has to see this as an opportunity.

Well, if this Trudeau shmoozle doesn’t drag out until July or October, eventually the Conservatives will get their kick at the can, & the rest of the country will be on the same page as the West. That’s something.

Sadly, she was born in the Land of the Free. Which I guess kinda proves it really is the Land of the Free. Unfortunately.

She was born in what the locals call "Hahtfud, Kawn." Insurance company capital of the United States. I was offered a job there after law school. I passed.

parliament perogied until march.
At a Monday press conference outside his Rideau Cottage residence, Mr. Trudeau said he will stay on as Prime Minister while the Liberal Party elects a new leader. Mr. Trudeau also said Governor-General Mary Simon had granted his request to prorogue Parliament until March 24.

Total POS from day 1 on the job and now give our highest paid employees 4 months off to be paid and accrue pension time.

And then he sets off on his annual $230,000 pension for life.

Look on the bright side. With what he did to the loonie, that'll get him a cup of coffee and a grilled-cheese sandwich.
