It wouldn't take much to topple the fundys if Iranian people were given a bit of support.
I think they might be coming to realize it themselves as their proxies are withering.
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran has paused the process of implementing a new, stricter law on women’s mandatory headscarf, or hijab, an official said — a bill that many believe could have reignited the protests that engulfed the Islamic Republic after the 2022 death of Mahsa Amini.
The controversial law (which may or may not just be propaganda), which was approved by the parliament in September 2023, will not be sent to the government as planned this week, according to one of the country’s vice presidents. The development effectively means that Iran has halted enacting the legislation.
The law (which may or may not have actually been proposed) levies harsher punishments for women who refuse to wear the hijab and for businesses that serve them, penalties previously rejected by Iran’s reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian as he tries to restart talks with the West over sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear program.
Etc…

Decapitation strikes have proven handy by

Israel/US recently. The Jewish Space Fog was clever.

The surprise, swift collapse of Bashar Assad's regime in Syria has been met with cautious optimism by many in Iran, where those disillusioned with their own authoritarian Islamic clerical regime see parallels between their struggles and those of the Syrian people.

For Iranians, Assad's fall is significant because Syria has been a cornerstone of Tehran's regional strategy, symbolizing not only geopolitical influence but also a shared model of authoritarian resilience.

The reverberations of developments in Syriaare therefore being felt across Iran's social and political landscape.

Assad's ouster has revived hope among Iranians for potential change at home, especially after the Iranian government's brutal crackdown on the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement, which left hundreds dead and thousands imprisoned.

The situation has even prompted Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to make a public statement.

"Anyone whose analysis or statements dishearten the people is committing a crime and will be dealt with. Some do this from abroad using Persian-language media, but no one inside the country should engage in such behavior," Khamenei warned last week.
His remarks underline the regime's concerns about a domino effect, particularly as Assad's ouster highlights vulnerabilities in regimes that suppress dissent and rely heavily on external support.
The Iranian leadership may fear that similar destabilizing factors, such as widespread economic hardship and waning regional alliances, could resonate domestically and threaten its own stability.
The ironic (or Iran-ic?) thing would be if Israel defending itself from Iran & its proxies is what leads to more freedom for Iran’s own citizens, making Iran more like Israel today.
