Always aim for the center of the visible mass. Kevlar is great for 9 mm, but doesn't mean shit against 5.56 or 7.62 rifle fire.
Yeah, I took the course.

Dragon Skin was the big thing in the Iraq War. I couldn't see it. Not much point in being marginally protected from glancing shots just to die of heat exhaustion and dehydration.

So what we know about the shooter is that he was a Republican.
He was a nerdy kid, possibly bullied. He was rejected from a gun club because he was a shitty shot.
His father was a registered Republican and owned the AR-style rifle (whatever the fuck that means) used in the assassination attempt.
No manifesto? No social media red flags? Mental illness?

If this was an inside job, I'm betting it was perpetrated by the Project 2025 People to propel their leader to power.

Now, if you're all for conspiracy theories...

From the King of them a few years ago.

Another sick fuck wishing Trump and Conservative Voters Dead.

I knew a guy who took a direct hit on the back of his helmet, the bullet hit the Kevlar overlap and didn't break through. Knocked him cold though and he had a concussion. FY

Lucky guy. As you know, depends on a lot of factors.

Still better'n the steel-plate crap in Vietnam. And I guess there's some value to it. The 7.62X39 mm round doesn't have the same punch power as the 7.62X49.

Or it was just a fucked up kid with nowhere to go but down.
Yup let’s shoot our leader in the head to garner the sympathy vote . Good idea .

I wonder if Trump was shot and killed, and the US devolved into a Civil War which side would have won?

Democrats or Republicans

Which ones have more guns and are part of the military I guess.

The last civil war was won by the side with the mostest and the bestest .

I think we've all been so inured by gun violence, that even the shooting of a former and running-again President didn't seem to have the same impact as it would have had back in the day.

It's like..."Oh? Trump got shot? Is he okay? Alright, he's okay...back to the soccer final."

Father: "Here's some change for the vending machine, Junior. Get Dad a candy bar and some bullets for my AKA Assault Rifle.

Son: "Okay Dad!

"And DON'T eat the candy bar!

Or else."

Premium shopping, Hoofie! Where else can you get a pack of rubbers, a pack of smokes, a bag of chips, a Coke, and a box of bang-bangs without interacting with another human being?

Admittedly, the whole "not interacting with another human being" thing makes the rubbers kinda pointless. . .

Without the qualifier of “interacting with another human being” and adding a jug of whiskey… isn’t that pretty much any Walmart superstore in the USA?

That’s the running joke for the Goshen, Indiana Walmart in our industry. “Where would you find ‘X’ in the Goshen Walmart?”

“Why, between the shotgun shells and the whiskey, of course!!!”
