PP might have had me support him, if he'd not fucked up what he wanted to do with the Military.

Oh well, suppose I shouldn't be shocked.

Last I heard he wanted to cut foreign aid and direct those funds towards the military, so not spending more but redirecting money towards the Canadian Military from what is currently being sent for foreign aid elsewhere?

Is he planning something different now or saying something different now?

You mean all that money we wasted in Ukraine could have been spent on beefing up our military, giving out military better equipment, services and housing? You're kidding me right.. "How awful"/s

Might even reach our 2% obligation for NATO?

GKfgzp8XcAAvnXK.jpg

Better spent on OUR military, rather than up Zelinsky's nose.

I have no idea what he meant by that in all honesty. There’s a lot of weird foreign aid that Canada sends out for all kinds of pet causes that could be directed towards our military though I’m assuming.

If that's what he was going to do I'd be... iffy on it.

But that's not what was going to keep me from supporting him on this.

I might have been lured to vote for him - cause sure as hell am not voting for Trudeau - but... guess I'll just keep my vote to no one.

Oh, no leadership has my full support - and some less than others.

Not that it matters though.
However you think, with 40+ million people in this nation… you are not alone in the way you think (venture to say nobody is), so on that note… yes it matters in the Numbers game. don’t completely discount yourself because your thought process alone is not as unique as you might think over the course of 40 million people… regardless of what the thought process is.

At this point anyone who supports any leader would, at least to me, be questionable in their sanity.

I say it doesn't matter because in reality, it doesn't. I'll still vote, mind you, but at least it won't be beholden to any of the current jerks in power.

Hold your nose, cast your ballot, Just like most of the other 40,000,000+ Canadians that are eligible to vote I’d assume.

As of 2021, 27,366,297, of whom 62.2% could be arsed to get off the couch.
That is sad, and I’m assuming very accurate and average.

This is one of those those weird coincidence things, where I didn’t realize that the politician was talking about the military at all until this thread, I could only refer back to stuff from days gone by and thus my answer above….

…. Then weirdly, randomly on YouTube as I’m doing the dishes….& something cycles through about Poilievre and “safe injection sites” and in the middle of that he’s talking about the military in response to a question. Here’s a clip of just that with the rest cut out about safe injection sites and such:
So…

Just to save me a bit of time and effort with a Google search and so on & so forth, what have you heard that he’s trying to do with respect to the military, and can you share that so I have a place to at least start trying to figure out what the punchline is? It’s easier to find things if you know what you’re looking for generally.

What do you think he's going to do with the military?

I agree with him getting rid of the Woke culture. The military is paralyzed by wokism, and starved of dedicated humans and equipment. At present, Commanders have lost the ability to enforce discipline and here's an example: A couple soldiers have declared themselves Furries, so now everyone has to walk around on eggs because Trooper Bloggins and Slack think they're a fucking aardvark and hamster. The military requires teamwork, esprit de corps, and effectiveness on the battlefield. There is no room in a combat unit for individualism.

Of course you would.

The military is paralyzed by wokism,

No it's not.

and starved of dedicated humans and equipment.

Yes, it is.

At present, Commanders have lost the ability to enforce discipline and here's an example:

Yes, they have but not likely due to 'wokeism'. That said, sure, example away.

A couple soldiers have declared themselves Furries,

LMFAO!

OMG NO!

You probably don't even know who/what furries are, FFS.

so now everyone has to walk around on eggs because Trooper Bloggins and Slack think they're a fucking aardvark and hamster.

LMGDAO!

JFC you're an idiot and thank you for this bogus, bullshit 'example' that proves you know nothing at all.

The military requires teamwork, esprit de corps, and effectiveness on the battlefield.

Yes, exactly.

There is no room in a combat unit for individualism.

Not everyone is in a combat unit and even in such units, there are still individuals that have individualism outside of the unit. I would'a thought you'd know that, given you supposedly served.

There are a LOT of issues with the Military - biggest ones? Not that someone is a goddamn furry, or is gay, or trans, or black or Muslim or Hindu or any of that.

No, the REAL issues are lack of support for the troops from the Government, lack of support from the Civilian sector, lack of pay, lack of family support, lack of, lack of, lack of.

But those who like to blame "Woke" for the status of the military just prove they DON'T get it at all.
