Farage was just 364,474 votes away from being Leader of the Opposition
Blackie, sounds like France is having some kind’a election now also. Being closer physically to that than the rest of us, can you offer some insight on their riots, etc…?
Marine Le Pen’s National Rally is set to fall well short of an absolute majority in the French legislative election on Sunday (Monday AEST), according to projections from two polling companies.
France has been shaken by the prospect of the “far-right” taking control of the government after spending more than 50 years keeping it at bay. It’s forced several other parties that had been at each other’s throats to swallow their animosity and come up with a largely unified electoral front in order to see off the threat, etc…

Here’s a weird one. It seems in most news stories there’s political positions consistent with Left, Left of Center, Center, & FAR Right…like for example: “Some luxury boutiques along the Champs Elysees boulevard, including the Louis Vuitton store, barricaded windows and Darmanin said he was deploying 30,000 police amid concerns of violent protests should the far-right win.”Same as it is here: Millions fed up of a centrist government treating its people with contempt and not listening to their concerns. Le Pen's party got closer to getting into power than Farage's party but Farage's party is only four years old. Le Pen and Farage should work together.

It’s not quite a French revolution underway, with elections that could put the “far” right in control of the country that prides itself on equality, liberty and brotherhood.
But with Marine Le Pen’s National Rally leading ahead of this Sunday's vote, France is facing a generational political shakeup — one that President Emmanuel Macron, a centrist, has warned could lead to “civil war.”
In the middle of this storm is a controversial Canadian warning French voters that their collective security and national identity are on the line due to unregulated mass migration.
Quebec native Mathieu Bock-Côté is an author, political columnist and turbocharged television host with France’s top-rated CNews — a station dubbed “Fox News à la française.”
His shows beat familiar drums: the intellectual bankruptcy of the left-wing; mainstream media bias; mass migration; Islam; and the loss of traditional French and European culture and identity.
