The match was suspended by the English referee for a period after 35 minutes due to severe lightning.
This was also the last match commentated by icon Clive Tyldesley on ITV after being the British channel's chief football commentator since 1996.
Germany's second goal was scored by Musiala, who played for England Under 15s, Under 16s, Under 17s and Under 21s.
Germany will play either Spain or Georgia in the Last 8.

England, ranked 5th in the world, went 1-0 down after 25 minutes to the team ranked 45th and a team that England have never lost to before.
England were still 1-0 down 5 minutes into 6 minutes of injury time at the end of the match and Slovakia were 30 seconds away from reaching the Quarter Finals for the first time and in absolute Dreamland when Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham scored a sublime equaliser for England.
Captain and all-time leading England goalscorer Harry Kane then scored the winner just seconds into extra time.
It's the sign of a good side that even when playing badly and losing with seconds to go they still win.
England are somehow in the Last 8 against Switzerland.

The match was crazy. But pretty clear Bellingham was possessed for a few seconds by the ghost of Pele.
It was crazy. I was sat there on the couch with a bottle of beer feeling depressed. 5.5 minutes of 6 minutes time added on had been played and England were out of Euro 2024 by a nation of 5 million as things stood. I started saying to myself: "Slovakia are in Dreamland right now. 30 seconds away from..." and then Bellingham scored his overhead kick. I nearly jumped through my living room ceiling in sheer ecstasy and then I had tears rolling down my cheeks of sheer relief. And then up pops Captain Kane to score the winner around 50 seconds in extra time. Crazy. Bellingham is a great player. Just weeks ago he won the Champions League with Real Madrid. I think he'll win trophies with England in the years to come.
As for England: They haven't played well in this tournament at all yet still cannot be beaten, even with 30 seconds to go. That's the sign of champions and why they are the favourites. Playing crap but not losing is good.
I like how Kane does almost nothing in an entire match - like in this one - and you don't even notice him for 80 minutes in total until at some point he pops up out of nowhere and scores and it usually wins matches. He's England's all time leading scorer since they were founded in 1873 and the Bayern Munich striker is another big gun in England's huge arsenal.
Just as in Euro 2020 when they reached the Final England just keep progressing through Euro 2024 no matter what is thrown at them.

Georgia are known to rugby union fans as it is Georgia's national sport and the nation has appeared at several rugby union World Cups.
However, this is the first time the tiny nation has appeared at a major football tournament.
Despite that, they managed to get to the knockout stages at the first attempt but unfortunately came up against the might of three times Euro winners Spain.
Spain - the only team in the tournament with a 100% record - will now play hosts Germany in a mouthwatering Last 8.
The Spanish are looking very good indeed to win this tournament for a fourth time.
