In Copa Europa, Prince 'Arry and the lads fell to the Spanish Armada, 2-1. England is now firmly Catholic, and the Inquisition is hunting down the last heretics.
On the other side of the pond, Leo and the Argy-nauts defeated King James and the Colombians, 1-0. Canada placed a very respectable fourth, and the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave never got out of the group stage.

Crazy that the Argies have now won the Copa America for a record SIXTEENTH time.
Having said that, the Copa America is the world's oldest surviving international football tournament - founded in 1916 - and the tournament is usually held every one, two, or three years, seemingly irregularly, for some reason, unlike every four years for most other international tournaments.

As for the Final of Euro 2024, it was the first time ever that England have lost in Berlin. Before last night, England were unbeaten in the stadium where the infamous 1936 Olympics were held.
Bring on Euro 2028 - in UK and Republic of Ireland.
