Not only did Letby murder seven babies, she also attempted to murder another six.

Letby is expected to become just the third female in British history to be sentenced to spend the rest of their life in prison.

The other two are Rose West, who along with her husband Fred West, murdered nine females between 1973 and 1987, and Joanna Dennehy, who murdered three men in 2013. Both are still in prison.

Just hearing some disturbing aspects of this case on Sky News:

When one of her victims was vomiting up a quarter of his or her weight in blood, with doctors desperately trying to save the child's life and the child's parents waiting outside the room, Letby tried to make herself look busy in the room to try and draw attention away from herself;

Letby sent a lock of hair of one of the victims to the child's parents;

She wrote a letter of condolence to the parents of one of her victims.

Justice Goss has just given Lucy Letby a whole life sentence for the murder of seven babies, and the attempted murder of six more.

This means she will never be released from prison.

There's silence in court. Some parents are crying.
