Right .
Interesting points and... might lead to less of a 'military complex' in the future.
Too bad none of the cuts were bureaucrats. We're already down to 1.3 million active-duty military personnel from a high of 3.5 million in 1968.

there is an overflow of 2SLGBTQQIA+ and minorities. perhaps they could be conscripted.not just in the us. in canada as well.
The nice thing about having Da Troof is you never need to learn or know anything.Too bad none of the cuts were bureaucrats.
Gees. One might think there was a cold war or something happening. We're already down to 1.3 million active-duty military personnel from a high of 3.5 million in 1968.
One might. You don't.Gees. One might think there was a cold war or something happening.
Or some little skirmish in VietnamGees. One might think there was a cold war or something happening.
That too. I cant believe it was brought up.Or some little skirmish in Vietnam
Sigh. The peak military involvement in the Southeast Asia theatre was 500,000 active-duty troops.Or some little skirmish in Vietnam
Too bad none of the cuts were bureaucrats.
Cuts?
The only 'cut' was lack of volunteers. And as pointed out in the video, interesting that it started... 17 years after 2001.

Something you and Torchy have in common.
The Army? Hell, no!Would you want your own son or daughter to join?
You raise them from diapers only to get blown away in some shit hole country by some fanatic who has read only one book his entire life?
Who would want to be the recipient of so much ingratitude from the govt after they no longer need you?Would you want your own son or daughter to join?

There is another reason why military recruitment is dropping in the US and Canada. Woke bullshit. The army isn't supposed to give a fuck about your feelings. They aren't your mommy. The army is there to mold people into highly disciplined, motivated soldiers. Individualism is TOXIC for any military.
If you look at the French Foreign Legion, they are not starved for potential recruits. They are NOT seeing a drop in volunteers wanting to join. ONe of those reasons is tradition. The FFL doesn't give a flying fuck what country you're from, what colour you are, what religion you are or what language your speak. You are in the FFL and you're going to be doing things the FFL way, starting with learning and speaking French. Are you Muslim, Jewish, Sikh or whatever? Tough shit, the FFL prays to their Christian god. Don't like it? Don't join up.
Meanwhile back here in Canada with Captain Pinhead at the helm, we're getting a more touchy-feely military where individualism is allowed to be expressed. Christ, can't wait for the govt to supply them with rainbow flak jackets and Hello Kitty assault rifles.
And speaking of our army, this govt is truly embarrassing. They sent some troops to Latvia for some NATO live fire exercises and war games. But decided to not send them with appropriate helmets or bulletproof vests. Even sadder still was the Danes were there as well. Better equipped than our own guys and what's even more maddening, a lot of their equipment was made in fucking Canada. I mean what the holy fuck? The Danes are better equipped with Canadian equipment than we are. They also have a bigger, more advanced navy than we do as well.
In another incident where Canadians were sent to train Ukrainian troops, the govt forgot to send a kitchen along with them. The soldiers were simply told to buy their own food and they would be quickly reimbursed. Well, after most of them had maxed out their credit cards they still hadn't been reimbursed.
In both instances it was almost like watching Russian soldiers being sent off without proper equipment and supplies. Canadians either had to buy their own or have families send what they needed from home. Sound familiar? But at least our soldiers weren't sent to fight a war. Even still, it's a fucking embarrassment. Just another example in a LONG string of this govt embarrassing Canada for the last 7-1/2 years.
