I reckon the real per capita GDP of the U.S. is #15 in the world. The UK's is #36. You're poorer than the Paddys and the Canucks.

As someone who lives in Britain I experience a significantly higher quality of life than you do.
I even have much less chance of dying in a road accident than you do. And our television and pop music is much better.
Try telling that to the dinghy divers crossing over the Channel in their myriads everyday. They obviously know France is shit and Britain is very good.
I know what it means, but per capita GDP is not a very good measurement of a nation's quality of life.
