I'm talking about most of those who are actually racist.

It's the freedom 'lovers'.
Grow up. Everybody's racist (including me). Ya can't grow up in North America (or anyplace else) and not be racist.

It's what you do about it that counts.

Oddly, the countries that are "least racist," i.e., least discriminatory, tend to be monocultures like Iceland. They never had racial "others," so they never got around to hating and oppressing them.

Generally no. It is worth noting that much of their hostile "Japan first" ideas arose from conflict with the Chinese and Koreans (and to a lesser extent, the Ainu), whom they regarded as different "races," much as England and its colonies used to consider the Irish a different "race."

The downside of isolated monocultures is that they sometimes fall prey to regarding everybody but them as less than fully human.

IIRC even today the Ainu have issues with the Japanese that some would think of as racist (in a typical us against the FN way).

And some do have problems with anyone "Not" Japanese...

So... *shrug*

We're all obviously familiar with systemic racism. The far right and libertarians have a well documented history of being deliberately racist.

It makes sense since you can easily go beyond looking for freedom for all to a selfish version of freedom, which leads to some form of discrimination.

This fake protest put that entire exercise on display quite clearly.
