So if it was a Con who ended up with Covid, and a "liberal" was throwing this kind of shade, I'm sure you all would be laughing it up and being okay with that kind of commentary?

No, don't think so.

(Feel sorry for his kids having Covid; him, not so much, just to be clear)
Sorry if I have trouble trusting/believing what Justin Trudeau claims after years of scandals and lies, and just the ‘coincidental’ timing of this Just(in) seems way too coincidental & convenient for believability.

Honestly, I think Justin Trudeau is lying to us all, again. It’s not WE lies or SNC Lavalamp lies or Admiral Mark Norman lies or….I could go on but I’ve got to be at work in another 7 hours…so short version is I just don’t believe him.

Maybe” he’s telling the truth this time in a “Boy who cried Wolf” scenario, as I suppose that’s a slim possibility, but I just don’t believe it. Do you believe Justin Trudeau is telling the truth this time?

Here’s an example of why I’m “Throwing Shade” Justin’s way…

“Today, I invite everyone across the country to recognize and observe the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to reflect on the painful and lasting impacts of residential schools in Canada, and to honour survivors, their families, and their communities. It is also a day to remember the many children who never returned home, and an opportunity for us all to learn more, and to affirm the need for reconciliation and commit ourselves to the work ahead.”

Remember this one? The Prime Minister‘s itinerary listed that he was reflecting in Ottawa or some such horseshit.

…& do I believe that Justin Trudeau has the ethics and integrity to not involve his children in his lies?

Honestly I don't know. I'm really 50-50 on it.

When he first announced isolation, it was cause his kid has it. Then he got it.

He could be lying, sure. But he could be telling the truth.

In the end that's not the point.

I think he's a goddamn jackass for not addressing the Convoy seriously. I think he's a jackass for a lot of reasons, truth be told.

I think he is avoiding the situation as much as he can.

If it came out he was lying about being Covid positive, and his kids were fine, I think that'd turn whoever else may still support him, against him (no, I'm NOT a supporter).

But if his kids, at least, do have Covid, then I can see why he'd want to be with his kids, isolation aside. He can work remotely, has and that's only right. It's not like he's completely unavailable.

The point was, if this was something a Con did, and liberals were acting like this towards him, there'd be an uproar on this board over it. Honestly, Con or Lib or anyone, if someone in your family has Covid, or you do, that should be an off limits thing to drag someone through the mud about.

That’s just it. If he’s lying again, that’s despicable, but he’s done worse, and it seems to make no difference. 38% of Canadians somehow keep voting him in. If he’s caught lying again in this case I don’t think it’ll make any difference to the same people that keep voting him in.

There have been liberal leaders that I have respected (I didn’t vote for them but I respected them). Justin Trudeau isn’t one of them. This isn’t a Lib/Con thing here at this point (for me), but a JT thing, & yes I would have a problem with it if it was pretty much anybody else.

Canadians are shocked and disgusted by the duckers.

I know this is gonna sound cynical, but is this really about Canadians and the way they feel (?) or is this just Justin Trudeau taking pot shots while in hiding because he feels safe and doing so, with the media quoting him because of the 24 hour news cycle?

At a press conference on Monday morning, and later that afternoon in Question Period, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a particularly personal and divisive line of attack against the protesters who took to the streets of downtown Ottawa this past weekend.

However, in responding to the people honking horns in front of his office, the PM went far beyond just dismissing their demands. Instead, from Mr. Trudeau on down, ministers and MPs spoke words that seemed designed to polarize and radicalize the situation, by demonizing the protesters rather that calmly refuting their ideas.

The government essentially declared the people in the protest to be so deplorable as to absolve itself of the democratic responsibility of arguing with them.

They had the right to protest, and to be seen as fully Canadian while doing so, particularly by their government and their prime minister. At the same, the government and the PM had every right to tell these citizens that, with all due respect, their views are mistaken. It’s a fine balance, and Mr. Trudeau didn’t even try to maintain it.

This is from the link a couple of posts up.

The guy has proven over the last 5 or 6 years that he is a liar and a charlatan. If you believe him now, there is something wrong with you too.

If you watch some of the you tubes coming from the protests you will see something far different from news reports .Protesters shovelling snow off the sidewalks , groups cleaning up garbage , Canadians of all creeds and colours marching together . The community support is amazing I saw one group of Polish business ladies bring vans full to bursting of bread and baked goods including 1500 Polish sausages up from Toronto and they vow to continue to support the truckers protest in a like manner until it ends . There are thousands of similar stories this is a spontaneous movement that is only growing , watch for major protests in provincial capitals this weekend .
