Harper did say it was a no brainer.

The Keystone XL Pipeline Is Officially Dead

“When this fight began, people thought Big Oil couldn’t be beat,’ Bill McKibben, author and the founder of 350 who has fought the pipeline for more than a decade, said in a statement. “But when enough people rise up we’re stronger even than the richest fossil fuel companies.”

TC Energy Seeks $15B in Damages from US for Canceled Pipeline

TC Energy, the company behind the canceled Keystone XL pipeline, announced over the weekend that it filed a notice of intent to initiate a legacy North American Free Trade Agreement claim under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement to recover economic damages resulting from the revocation of the project’s Presidential Permit.

The company, which said last month that it was scrapping the project after President Joe Biden revoked a key permit on his first day in the White House, told the State Department’s Office of the Legal Adviser that it is seeking more than $15 billion from the U.S. government in compensation for losses suffered as a result of the administration’s breach of its NAFTA obligations.

The permit to build a 1,200-mile pipeline intended to carry oil from Canada to the U.S. had been approved by former President Donald Trump early in his term, even though environmental and indigenous groups had argued that the project would fuel climate change and cause other environmental damage, according to The Hill......More

I just sent a little e-mail to the White House.

Dear Mr. Biden. I hear you're imploring OPEC and other G20 nations to increase oil output for the benefit of America. Well, it's too bad you Dumb-o-crats had such a problem with the Keystone XL that you cancelled it. I just have to ask, are you stupid or something? Are you that colossally clueless or do you just hate Canada? Let's look at facts. The US, with 10X the population of Canada has just 1/7 of the oil reserves that Canada has. Other than the US, Canada is, or at least WAS your most secure source of oil. It's blood-free, conflict-free and ethical. You screwed Americans out of jobs by cancelling Keystone XL and now you're being sued for $15 billion USD by TC Energy while you whine about a shortage of oil in the US. Good job Mr. President. Great to see that the US will be suffering at least 4 years of gross incompetency and blind stupidity thanks to you and the Democrats. May God help America.
